Just for a chance of pace, here's a trope where the name is universal and the trope is specific.
Seriously, you can't tell me there's anyone who, when they hear "second chance" think "gets turned into a baby so they can maybe not grow up to be evil this time". Sure, it's an apt description of that trope, but it's a good description of a bunch of other ones too.
That said, from what I can tell there's not much blatant misuse on the page itself, but it's not really being used a lot either. It's brought 16 people to the wiki, and is listed on 15 pages. Of those, only 10 are actually work/character pages listing an example of the trope, and of those at least one (Enigmata) actually says it's an example not of the trope but of the concept the trope's name refers to.
I dunno, having such an everyday name for such a specific, fantastic trope just kinda bothers me, and it looks like it's so unused it can afford a rename.
Yeah, that definitely needs changing. Should be relatively painless, though, just needs additional: Second Chance At Life? Second Chance To Be Good?

Reform Through Rebirth?
Raise Him Right This Time?
I like Raise Him Right This Time.
Actually, I'm not sure what to do at this point. I haven't gotten much response, but what I have gotten is unanimous in favor of rename, and I seriously can't imagine anyone arguing the current name is a good one. Should I do a single prop crowner, go straight to a rename one, or just wait?
Make a rename or not crowner probably. Just to be on the safe side.
Should I rewrite the pro/con? I think a crowner should give reasons, but I really had trouble thinking of any reason to keep the name, and I thought just listing pros wouldn't be classy.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's a consensus.
Also, I know it's standard to make the old name of a renamed trope a redirect, but could that not happen with this one? Second Chance should lead to...something, but not this trope. What say you guys?
Looks like a consensus to me. And I agree that Second Chance should not remain as a redirect. Cutting it will break 25 inbound links, but we really do need to use it for the correct trope.
...Well will you look at that, somebody already made an alternate name crowner for me. I didn't even see that.
...And it already seems to have a consensus! Yay!
Yeah this one was working for quite a while, I think back in September or even earlier. We'll let it go at least a few days for any new folks who didn't see it back then to vote...
Well it's been five days with as far as I can tell no change in votes. I think we can go ahead and call this one, no?
Looks like a strong consensus to me.
Looks good to me. Please remember to copy over the discussion (if there is any), and the YKTTW link (if there is one).

I made the new page and changed all the works pages that listed this trope, but I'm not sure what to do with the page itself, since we established that it shouldn't be a redirect. Also, how do I copy over the YKTTW?

Put the Second Chance page on the cutlist. For the YKTTW, in this case, the link is in the archived discussion. Open the link, than copy and paste the url to the new discussion page with a note along the lines of
"Formerly 'Second Chance', from YKTTW [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/discussion.php?id=qmqdj7a8&trope=SecondChance Purification Via Regression]]; rename discussion [[https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=jozuj3h0rc53krigtdcy6ums here]]"

Wait, you can skip all that. The Discussion mover widget moved it all, including the YKTTW link.
Just cutlist the Second Chance page.
Page has apparently been cut, so I guess we're done here.
Locking it up then. Thank you for doing the move.
