My Knowledge and Courage are both at Rank 4, but I do feel like I could level those up soon. I also read that speedreading guide, so I can probably blow through some books to boost Courage in a few nights.
Oh God! Natural light!Yeah, Hyperspeed Reading is a great boon. Though it is annoying you can't finish one book and start another.
My courage was really lagging behind in my first playthough, so I didn't have it maxed in time, which was quite annoying. Granted I had no hope of getting all the social links in that playthrough - I didn't do Sun or Moon at all, and did things pretty randomly for everything else (except Yukiko, who I somewhat arbitrarily decided to romance, and Marie because I knew I was supposed to)
Thankfully, NG+ lets you carry your maxed social stats over.
So double post, but I was wondering - how long of a career do you guys think Rise would have, and what would she do once she stopped being an idol?
I ask because I kind of wanted to make her and Naoto supporting characters in that original Persona story I'm thinking about (assuming I'd ever write it).
Oh God! Natural light! It's sort of implied that Rise is actually genuinely talented, so she's got that going for her at least
Bewitching Eyesok so since I was able to go home for an extended weekend Ive been able to start persona 5 and make a fair bit of progress. Im currently at the beginning of the third culprit. I've also ended up sacrificing multiple days worth of confidant interactions just to boost charm and knowledge
also side note but I wished the modern persona games contimued the trend from 1 and 2 of giving characters their own leitmotifs

So what exactly do you need to do to do the final Fox quest in Golden? Do you just need the River Guardian, or do you need the Sea Guardian too?
Oh God! Natural light!
You need to talk to the old man in Samegawa Flood Plain, then capture a huge fish by fishing. After you give the fish to the old man, he will prompt you to find the Guardian fish. You can find it any day in December or during rainy weather.
I think you think you need to catch them both, the River Guardian first and then the Sea Guardian afterwards.
Ask all the questions you can, then he tells you about the River Guardian,

I’ve talked to him, but he doesn’t seem to be giving me any new dialogue.

Oh God! Natural light! So I'm almost done with P5 Strikers. Enjoyed it overall even if the story is Lighter and Softer than the original. I think the actual nuance with the villains is handled better than in the original game. The only complaint is the main villain reveal was really obvious, even by Persona standards.
So, playing Golden, I feel like I may have remembered the game’s comedic moments being more insufferable than they ended up being? I’m particularly talking about stuff like the hot springs incident, which really only lasts about a minute. I think the Animation might have made it worse by drawing it out somewhat.
Honestly the worst part by far is the “Miss” Yasogami Pageant, which nowadays just reads as pretty damn transphobic, and frankly mean-spirited in general. I’m not even sure how such a thing even exists - who would sign up for it if they’re just going to be mocked the whole time (barring guys like Teddie who can pull it off with aplomb)?
Oh God! Natural light! The main issue with the Hot springs segment isn't what happens in the moment, but the immediate aftermath of it.
Watch Symphogear![]()
Its Japan, crossdressing and Otokonoko is quite a different situation. Regressive in some areas progressive in others.
Crossdressing has been more acceptable there for 400+ years thanks to Kabuki, a contest like that would have been meant for Teddie types who can pull it off. The 'cant withdraw' thing is well rule of comedy.
Yeah, those moments were troubling, I didn't react to them too heavily just because I'm desensitized to this rubbish. I'm still salty about Danganronpa requiring pervy "bonus scenes" for 100% completion.
"Comedic moments" isn't really the half of it. Stuff like the gag glasses, or constant bear puns are fine. The hot springs or drag pageant stuff, a lot less so.
I think the King’s Game scene is pretty funny, and to its credit it actually does move the plot forward a bit.
Likewise a lot of the summer vacation stuff works as a Breather Episode, as well as further developing the characters’ friendship. By contrast, things like the camping trip don’t really do either and mostly just come off as a waste of time.
Oh God! Natural light!Rise and Yukiko are a mean pair of drunks....or rather they will be when they start actually drinking.
Like, seriously. If anyone who knows them is smart, they'll never let those two sip even a little bit of alcohol.
One Strip! One Strip!

oh yeah the game basically gives you intelligence for free
