It seemed like a funny thought, with the House Of The Dead Magician being on its That One Boss entry on the YMMV page, while the Persona big Magician enemies were a Cutscene Boss (the Shadow in 3) and the tutorial boss (Shadow Yosuke in 4).
Wake me up at your own risk.Does House of the Dead have a series of Tarot bosses?
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Yep. Also produced by Sega, who Own Atlus.
Watch SymphogearYou could say the same about Amy Rose, but that doesn't make her a Persona character.
"No will to break."@fredhot every game except overkill has their bosses named after tarot cards. Only one they have done surprisingly enough is the devil. House of the dead bosses also look like theyd fit right in as smt demons.
Does Strikers build off of vanilla P5, or is the extra content from Royal included in Strikers' plot?
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Royal is, at best, alluded too but for the most part the game runs off vanilla.
Strikers came out before Royal in Japan, they don’t really refer to each other.
Are your sure? Because looking it up I'm getting.
Persona 5 Royal: 31 October 2019
Persona 5 Strikers: 20 February 2020

"If you are going through hell, keep going." - Winston ChurchillPersona 5 Royal Strikers, coming to PS 5, 2022.
I'm content with it being a sequel to vanilla since I have no motivation in buying a game I 100% again. If it comes to Switch, maybe but considering Strikers' performance issues, it might not be a good idea.

They probably didn't want any spoilers for people who hadn't played Royal, so they kept the references to a minimum.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.givin persona 1 a shot... gotta be honest Im not enjoying the battle system
You won’t
It doesn’t get better
Retro doesn't always age well. Even if they're trying to recapture an old feeling, good indie developers are very selective.
In all seriousness, how old does it feel?
It's bad SMT combat. They tried to reduce the complexity with weaknesses and the like and adding a mild grid, but it just makes combat slower and clunkier than needed. And it's not like it makes it hard, 1's exp scaling is very easy to break. You play for the story, and with the original version, for the great sound and atmosphere.
"No will to break."I do like how quick the opacing of 1 is from what I played of it. 4 takes its time before the supernatural stuff truly rears its head and even longer for the dungeon crawling proper to begin and the stakes don't get raised until the later portions of the game, 3 also takes a while to get to tartarus but the supernatural fuckery has been occuring for some time now and the opening text crawl basically tells you you have a year to do what you need to do or everyone is fucked. Within the first half hour of persona 1 zombies show up.
started up innocent sin and the combat is much better. Its mainly traditional JRPG combat but its handled competently enough. This is also my first real experience with demon negotiation so I have no ide
I'd recommend something like Digital Devil Saga for good dungeon crawling and faster-paced stories. It's a shame the PSP remake fucked with the presentation so hard in Persona 1, it''s a great localization.
"No will to break."so does anyone else not like the battle theme from the psp version of persona 1. I mean by itself its a solid piece just not good battle music. Battle music should have a certain flow to it that this song doesnt have
Yeah, it's also short and you hear it all the damn time, so it gets annoying fast. I like it just fine outside of the game, but in game I wanted to mute sound after awhile.
It's the biggest problem of the remake, it fucks up the audio presentation. It's missing a majority of the original game's sound effects, the soundtrack has like a third as many tracks, and most tracks top out at 2 and a half minutes when the original features unique dungeon and character themes that go on for 5 minutes. It feels like a really budget soundtrack that's still got a few good tracks of its own.
Did not expect Throw Away Your Mask to beat Battle Hymn of the Soul.
That's been fan favorite final boss theme for years

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.@Kara too be fair you could kind of level the same criticiscism at Mass Destruction but
1. It sounds like an actual battle theme
2. It has a certain charm to it
Also got Aigis in the party. Should I turn on that special mode she told me about?
neat. I love battle hymn of the soul but throw away your mask is a damn good candidate for that spot.
"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."Yeah, for me Throw Away your Mask and I Believe are two of the best songs in the series.

And why are you bringing up House of The Dead in a Persona thread?
I can't say goodbye to yesterday…
