So earlier someone asked if people liked Akira more than Ren because Akira had a relevant meaning. It was actually Ren that had a relevant meaning, Akira was just a generic name.
Now I want to ask, between Makoto Yuki and Minato Arisato, does that have a similar situation where one name has meaning that is relevant to the story and the other is generic? Or are both of them meaningful? Or are both of them generic?

They're appaently mostly women. Makoto in P5, Makoto in Devil Survivor 2, etc..
But the first Makoto I ever heard about was Makoto Shishio from RK.
My basic bitch Japanese dictionary research says:
有里 湊 Arisato Minato
有 = To exist (object), possess, happen 里 = home village (?) 湊 = port/harbor
結城 理 Yūki Makoto
結 = tie, bind, contract 城 = castle 理 = reason, logic, truth and justice
Makoto is a girly name but is unisex. Kinda like Akira that is a kinda manly but I've seen it used on non guys too.

I liked preferred Akira myself because it was a common name and it helps illustrate Joker was just another guy who had a really bad day and it could have been anyone who could have chosen to stop Shido from attempting to rape.
Plus the meaning of bright does give a connection to Lucifer.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"wait, people thought there was a difficulty spike in Persona 5? where?
if it's the very end of the (base) game, i would kinda see it if it weren't for the fact that players should naturally have some ridiculously powerful personas by that point, even on a casual play through. and that's only taking into consideration Merciless difficulty. Normal difficulty is a cakewalk.
if it's the start of Royal's added content, i could kiiinda see it due to losing your party for the beginning of it. but, again, you should naturally have some really strong personas

"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeMaybe I shouldn't be listening to Yahtzee who despised the repetitive Last Surprise.
And it's not just a regular RPG at that, it's Persona, aka SMT. Nobody will have the same experience twice, but knowing how fusion and the system works beyond a surface level really helps. IMO Persona is typically hardest in the first few dungeons, then it sharply drops once you get more than two party members and a solid SP pool.
Yahtzee also admits to seeing the Persona game he has played as improving with each one, since he played Golden recently and its P5 Lite in his eyes, just as he expects P5 will be P6 Lite one day.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I can think of two potential difficulty spikes moments, depending on the playstyle :
-Clearing Kamoshida's palace in a single is easily the hardest thing of the whole game as you simply don't have the tools to really handle doing this much in single day, but that's also a problem only for perfectionnists nutcases.
-The okumura boss fight has come to be reviled, for reasons I'm not entirely certain myself, but I will say he certainly managed to cause me a couple game overs beofre I nailed the last section properly sooooooo maybe ?
"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."

So I checked out Persona 5 Royal, and unfortunately since I played Fire Emblem: Three Houses first, I can't unhear Maruki as Ferdinand von Aegir from that game.
