How does this Summer Festival thing work? I don't remember this at all but I got Rise here. She's only at Rank 4 though, Yukiko is 7 and Chie is also 7. Maybe it's because i did her S Link last? I guess it's my fault for trying to diversify things instead of focusing all my attention on Yukiko. Now I got the girl I wanted to go with least. I don't hate Rise but she's just not my type.
This legit irritates me. It's always felt like the game was forcing Rise as Best Girl on me and I hate that shit.
I'll try to hold onto my save file so when I replay in another 3 years I'll try to remember to max out Yukiko or Yumi or anybody before this so the game can't fore Rise down my throat again.

Not as hard as Marie. Barely talk to her for 3 seconds in a gas station, and everyone in the Velvet Room's going on about how you have a special connection and how mysterious she is. Shame, because when she's not acting like a cardboard cutout tsun or writing crappy poems, I kinda like her imaginative side.

Yeah, I think Rise is just always available for those events regardless of her Slink's advancements. Either that or she has way lower prerequisites.
Rise's exactly as horny as her Shadow likes to pretend to be, but I'm not sure the game is aware that this is what it ends up saying, because it never does comment on that.
"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."I got no problem with horny, aggressive women. In fact by most metrics, Rise is the type of girl I'd usually be head over heels for. Perky, cute, pigtails, idol.... But for some reason, she just doesn't click.
I'm tempted to blame Laura Bailey who I just don't really like. She's certainly no Erin Fitzgerald or Amanda Winn-Le and she is absolutely not Eden Riegel who is the uncredited but infinitely great voice of Marie.

Marie is the worst extra Girl Atlus has ever put in their games, but eh, you do you, I guess.
Watch SymphogearShe is but she's always Laura Bailey and she's in a ton of things.
I hear Serah from FFXIII when I hear Rise. It's the same voice all the time and I dunno about anymore but at one point she was in so much shit that it just got tiring.
Also Marie is way better than Alex.

The way the festival works:
If you are romantically involved with any waifu, she will call and invite you. Rise will always call you regardless of rank (because she's already into you), and since you said you were at rank 7, Chie and Yukiko's get romantic at rank 9.
Ai, Ayane, and Yumi also will call at certain ranks even if you aren't official. (Like Rise, they are already into you.)
Regardless of how you feel about Yukiko, the game doesn't consider you a couple until Rank 9, and Rise is the only exception since she's the latest addition.
Persona 5 does the same thing with Haru, as she'll be the default option in the culture festival if you haven't gotten into a relationship with anyone.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I wonder when the Yos-gay mod will be finished. I kind of want to try it out. (The mod that restores Yosuke as a same-sex option.)
I think there were same-sex options in pre-P3 games (and the female protagonist can get with Elizabeth and Agis in Portable), so why not include them now?

in an NG+ playthrough I won't have to worry about stats so I can just focus on getting Yukiko's or evenChie's or Yumi's S Links up to max before the summer festival. See you all in 2023.
Anyway, I forgot about the homework stuff. That's good game design. You get auto relationship increases with everyone but more important to me is the +4 Knowledge gains. I'm guessing this is to help players with Naoto since IIRC you need Rank 4 Knowledge to even start her S Link and Rank 5 to max it. Well, thanks to the homework, I'm a Sage now and it will be clear sailings for her S Link.
I've given up on Strength, Tower, Devil, Death, Moon and Sun. If I ever try to start any of them, it will be after I've maxed the ones I care about. This time management is so stressful.
Summer vacation just ended and I have: Yosuke 5, Margaret 6, Kanji 5, Yukiko 7, Chie 7, Rise 5, Nanako 9, Dojima 8, Fox 5, Adachi 5, Marie 5, Saki's Brother 3, Eri 3. I hope this is enough time to max out at least most of these + Naoto.
The game answered a question of mine, though. Obviously after summer vacation for us in the US we come back at a higher grade, Freshmen go for summer then come back sophomore, etc.. I was wondering if the main gang were now Juniors but apparently everyone is still 1st and second years after summer vacation in Japan.
Did anyone else go on Teddie's Quiz show or go to Mr. Edogawa's lessons?
Teddie's quiz show is hard the first time and easier the second time. Edogawa's lessons got me to understand why some people say that the emergence of psychology was a factor in the decline of religion (along with communism and, of course, the theory of evolution).

Yeah. Morooka wasn't even killed for anything he actually did (if any of it was even bad enough to deserve death). Some random kid just decided to kill him just cause he wanted Society Sempai to notice him.
That's a shitty reason to be murdered. Kamoshida did far worse and he got to live, even if only as a Cruel Mercy.
Though it raises an interesting question: If Morooka had been more like Kamoshida (having committed horrific crimes that everyone knew about) and was killed for the exact same reason (nothing to do with his crimes, but purely as method of getting attention) what would the in-univeres reaction be?
I'd assume halfway between And There Was Much Rejoicing and the same level of disgust, once the Fridge Horror about why he died kicks in, since that means it could have literally been anyone, and it was just twisted luck that it was someone actually evil.
