I gotta say, the french localization is better than I anticipated. Sure, there's a couple of typos here and there and I've seen a text prompt outright badly translated (returning a book you haven't finished reading), but in terms of sticking to the meaning while making it sound like something french people would say it really really good. I feel like they did great in particular with Ryuji's vulgarity, considering we don't have the same standards for what insults are crossing the line. They even got rid of the -kun and -san suffixes when an appropriate equivalent exists, and switched up the use of first names/last names when appropriate too.
My only two grieps is that they kept "senpai" in, but I can see why, and that for some reason they refused to translate "trickster" despite having no problem switching cognition to psyche and change of heart to the made up work "metanoia" when both of those weren't strictly necessary.
Takuto is adorable, though. And ideal and the real is a bopper.

The video is funny, but I think we get that you hate the game, so no need to reiterate that, thanks.
the RWBY video is a lot more mean-spirited. T His one feel way more tongue in cheek since...well...they're pretty much the common opinions about the game.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.

Yeah, I saw that when I took a closer look. Still not that interested in buying it though. That aside, I'm so far liking all of the minor tweaks and additions to the dialogue. Some of it may not be noticeable for the average player, but I've played this game so many times to where I can more easily notice when something is a bit different. It helps to justify the price tag a bit more.
Don't catch you slippin' now.
