I honestly don't even recall the P4 peeping scene. It's a whole big game in P3 so I did it several times to get it right and not get caught.

I vaguelyrecal there's an anime cutscene of the girls freaking out...? Was Marie there? I feel like somebody had the electric sound effects or visuals to communicate their fury......

I need to replay P 4 G. My memory is failing me, even if I'm forgetting the absolute weakest stuff.

Its literally one of the most infamous scenes in the game when the girls run the guys out of the spring because of a misunderstanding and then blame them for it and refuse to accept responsibility.

Nope, I have no memory of this. There's a lot of infamous scenes in P 4 G that I can recall but this isn't one of them.

I guess it didn't stick out to me. Then again, I have never cared about the women beats up guy trope in anime.

Wait I think it's coming te me. It's a blatant recreation of the P3 scene, right? You just can't control anything and circumstances are different but it's clearly a callback. No recollection of the aftermath, just that it happened.

And then in P 4 G they redid it a second time just so they could include Marie and her pikachu-like power in it. Forgetting about it is the best thing to do.

Yeah. P4 was awful because the girls were totally at fault but decided to just not admit it.

Then they added in an even worse scene of the guys deciding to do something more awful, probably to keep sympathy on the girls.

I'm sincerely hoping this scene in Scramble ended with the girls screwing up and actually admitting it, rather than the usual the guys are (somehow) totally to blame garbage. Or at least, with everyone agreeing it was just an accident.

But I have zero faith the writers consider anything they previously did a problem.

And I am really glad that the original Persona 5 and the Royal rerelease deliberately skipped a hot springs visit. Also, while Ryuji might be the one who gets caught due to how loud he is, I think Yusuke will ultimately get caught because he would try to use the nudity as inspiration for his art.

I don't see Yusuke getting caught. I'm pretty sure if someone has to get caught in an hot spring episode it's going to be Ryuji.

The question is, are we going to have the typical flat chest anguish talk that is a staple trope in anime? I mean none of the girls are really all that flat.

The main issue has always been that the actual scenes within the hot springs are cheap gags. If there's any character development or meaningful interaction, it's always outside the waters.

Ryuji is the unfortunate Butt-Monkey character who's probably gonna get caught.

Way to be original writers. Have the dude you shit on all the time get shat on. I never saw it coming....

I mean....right. That last bit was unintentional. It's hard to use that particular phrase when dealing with P5.

There was some kinda character development with the hot springs in P3. Well, it was us spending time with our new buddy and him being a teenage boy and all that.

He got to experience life to the fullest. Or something. I need to replay that game, too.

There's so much more to talk about in the new trailer and here we are talking about the obligatory hot springs episode.

Yeah, and I think that Atlus didn't learn its lesson at all given the negative reception that such a scene and related gags get in the west.

I'm pretty sure that's the least of their priorities if I'm being perfectly honest here.

Do you think they're gonna have the awakened personas in this game? It feels like it would be a waste for them not to be there so I feel like they have to be.

You see those boss battles? A fucking golden-ass dragon & Drakkon himself piloting a fucking Zord shooting lasers & shit.

Man this looks like a fucking amazing action game.

My thoughts on the trailer:

Short version: HYYYYYYPED!!! NEED BLOOMING VILLAIN REMIX!!!

Long version: Seriously, this trailer just got me more hyped and looking forward to an international release.

That trailer made me think at first thay Sophia is why this "Metaverse" is existing again but later into it I'm not as sure since, well, her dialogue of remembering her original purpose of befriending humanity might just be being used over footage that makes it look like she's going berserk or something and then later we see a weird and black multiarmed thing that we don't get to see properly. So yeah. But still, I wonder if she's related to the cause, like being the original AI for EMMA and the other AI taking her place, hence why she's "dumped" into a trash area in this new Metaverse.

What I'm a little more sure of but it's mostly speculation...I think that "Power Ranger/Kamen Rider/knight" character (the one of the Lettuce Sauce Eng sub trailer thumbnail) is that woman who had a special portrait that's with Zenkichi (whose name I can't seem to remember/find) when we see him in the demo (and I think maybe also the first trailer too?), mostly because I thought I heard her voice and basically went "Wait. This 'knight' kind of look like a futuristic officer." I mean, it makes me think of some military uniforms used in ceremonies and the like, except well...futurustic and knight-like. And the impression of her makes me think she more of knight templar or something, fitting into that theme.

Though speaking of themes, I like that the dragon is golden...more greed themes, since western dragons are associated with it. Or it could be pride, what with using a color associated with greatness and power too. Or both. Maybe both. I certainly like the thought.

I also wanna mention I really, really like that Blooming Villain remix and can't wait to get it one way or another and also glad to hear a little more of You Are Stronger at the second half of the trailer.

Though that blackout in Tokyo(?) doesn't look too good...especially paired with (I think) Zenkichi telling the Thieves to run.

Oh, and I know it seems well...tiresome but personally I laughed my head off when I saw the hot springs scene...as that means the curse lives on. But I get why others would be annoyed about something more fanservice like is being done again. As well as, well...not wanting a repeat of the hot springs scene from P4.
