Those are just references rather than teasing. As someone who played since Persona 3 portable, i rather like that the Persona 5 cast are separate from the previous 2 's cast in their own game. Persona 4 is a tough game to follow up on, so Persona 5 not featuring a cameo in anyway, is kind of a bold move. And personally, i like Persona 5 the best.
Besides, it's not like people want the p2 cast to be in p4 right?

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Dancing All Night is the only spinoff for just 1 cast of characters and it really suffered for it. Spinoffs pretty much are being used to create a more expansive universe. P4's own spinoffs were used to bring P3 people in while mostly just repeating P4's character arcs.
Also its a Warriors game... like 90% of the fun in a warriors game is the mashup. I don't see them giving the characters a variety of moves as well so 7ish characters is going to make a horrid warriors game, even DQH was 14 characters.
The Q games are basically just fluff, for funsies really. Nothing serious along with the fact none of it really means anything since they all just get mind-wiped or something at the end of the game.
This is the opportunity to actually have some epic & serious interactions between multiple groups with permanent lasting interactions in a none comforting setting.
By finally fully taking advantage of one group of Persona users being self-declared cops & another group being self-declared criminals.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."But it doesn't mean anything for the main cast barring the OG newbies the plot revolves around.
Sure it may be sweet seeing Kanji help Ken get over his issues but the sweetness is lost when the game ends & he goes right back to normal.
Like the Arena games, the interactions here could actually be permanent.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."You know, finding weird girls in cubes is either a really good thing or a REALLY bad thing. I lowkey want this to have a Big Bad Ensemble/Evil Versus Evil of sort. Then again, maybe they have done it too many times so they might play her being purely heroic.

Only sometimes postsI am late. I didn't expect much from Persona 5 Scramble, but fuck, I can hear my wallet screaming as this becomes another Day 1 purchase for me.
Anyway, it appears that the new girl's name is Sophia. Some people have pointed out the significance of the name in terms of Persona 5 as it is also the name of Demiurge/Yaldabaoth's mother.
In that case, maybe there’ll be a bunch of OCs, with crossover DLC at appropriate times?
The legend has returned.I've been getting back in a YGO mood and would Kaiba getting Mind Crushed be equivalent to having his treasure stolen? Never thought of it like that before. We're basically just unclogging their soul, getting rid of the evil gunk so they can properly feel and start over again.
Only, ya know, they go to prison instead of becoming our friend/ally. Also Kaiba was an abused child and that's how he got so twisted. Then again, for all we know, all the villains were abused children, too. Probably not but we don't get much in the way of humanizing backstory for any of them except Sae and maybe Haru's dad? I vaguely feel like we weer supposed to feel sorry for him but it has been awhile and I can't remember that well.

Most of them have some sort of reason/vague backstory presented as to why they eventually came to abuse their power, but it doesn't make them that much more sympathetic. Kamoshida for example was desperate to hang onto the glory of his past as an athlete despite the fact he wasn't going anywhere and stuck in a teaching job.

The P4 and P3 Cast already showed up in the PQ 2 games with the P5 crew. Personally, i'd rather the P5 cast here get more time to shine, i mean we just escaped the onslaught of P4 spinoffs.
