You really seem to be going out of your way to slam her...at least her human look.
Oh well. I'd be a Hypocrite if I said anything, but maybe take it a bit easy. You burn yourself out if you keep shitting on a character constantly like that.
There's a reason I barely have it in me to really hate Naruto anymore.
One Strip! One Strip!Yes. He's smart about it.
I was like an uncontrollable forest fire; everything consumed in the blaze. Nothing left to burn.
Though now I can look at the franchise more objectively too, so I'm kinda glad I burned myself out like that.
Anyway....time for some controversy: Is Akechi truly a Phantom Thief or not?
They seem to go back and forth on including him in pictures of the team, so I'm not really sure where he stands from a meta view. What do all of you think?
One Strip! One Strip!Huh. So when you send the calling card to Okumura, Futaba says something about someday making a Palace filled with her dreams and wishes. Maybe that's where the whole 'My Palace' concept came from.
Bewitching EyesTrust me, he has a fuckton of fans and people that legit like him (myself included, please don't bother typing up an essay-long post about why I have to hate him), but even then a huge chunk of his fans agree he could have been handled way better. I'm personally hoping that a lot gets fixed with him in Royal, and from what I've seen so far, I'm optimistic. I appreciate him being more of a mainstay for the group and getting a more natural Confidant system.
Cases like my girlfriend and I (she dislike Akechi, I like him) can just agree to disagree and have civil discussion but I've seen a lot of people get really nasty over something that should be a matter of opinion.

Ah, fair enough. "He was interesting but could have been done better" vs "he was awful and I hate everything about him" sort of divisive, not "he was fantastic, they handled him perfectly" vs "he was awful and I hate everything about him" divisive. Yeah, that I definitely see.
Never underestimate the creative energy of the fujoshi.

Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.I don't like Akechi but him being more of a mainstay of the group means we might get more of a reason to actually care about him, so it's not all bad. If they tone down his crimes/body count like some people have suggested, it would also make him a lot more sympathetic. I'm not super optimistic given atlus' track record but admittedly I'm pretty jaded so maybe I'm not the best person to ask.

I wasn't kidding in my earlier posts so count me in for geniunely liking akechi, and not for the shipping.
Also counts me in the hoping atlus doesn't tone down his crimes gang.

"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."I mean liking Akechi as a villain and character and thinking that Akechi is a perfect cinnamon roll who people need to stop bullying are very different things.
This song needs more love.I admit, when I was watching clips of Akechi's time with the group in Sae's dungeon, I kinda liked his dynamic with them
The thing about that kinda infiltration is that you have to put a bit of yourself in it in order for it to work (the best deceptions having a kernel of truth after all).
I even liked how he blackmailed himself in, but (seemingly when you ignore the real reasons) recognized he needed their help to get through and stuff.
Then he went full asshole, in addition to his numerous crimes (we're 100% sure he murdered Futaba's mom too right? It's not just Haru who lost a parent to him?) soured everything. I'm not sure how I feel about removing some of his crimes: he's still the only person who can enter the Metaverse, and we never learn the full extent of how Shidou's other scientists manipulate it, so for stuff like that, it has to be him.
I think he still needs to be legitimately guilty enough that he needs to atone, but they also need a way to make his really joining the group believable (though them just putting up with him since they have the same enemy, they can't kill him, and can't give him a change of heart, so they make it clear he has to go to jail afterwards works in the end).
There's a lot to fix, and from what I can tell the biggest complaints about him are in the western fandom, so Atlus might not see a need to change much. Which makes sense, since his backstory is more sympathetic in his home country, so there's no need to make him less guilty.
...I think.
You gotta admit: bastard knows how to get down.

Well yes but considering if it was up to me I'd let the guy walk away and have another shot at life no questions asked I'm pretty sure I do both.
It's just that reducing his body counts does nothing to make him more redeemable because he kills at least three people in cold blood through the story, and that reducing his bodycount just opens up plot holes on top of it.

"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."

Not a sexy Moth Goddess, Straight Jacket, or an uncomfortably repressed officer of the law.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.
