Honestly it was just for fun.
No big deal.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I don't mean this as an attack on people who enjoy Death Battle debates, but I personally find them a bit aggravating to read about.
There are so many things that need to be taken in context, like where in the story a character is at, if the setting has things like Marin Karin (which means you have to decide if the other side can negate it with their own abilities) and game mechanics which need to be taken into account. And when something is so subjective like that biases are bound to occur.
Back to the thread's topic.
Even if it was a longshot, I was hoping we might have gotten a P 4 G port to the Switch or PS 4 in e3.
I already own it, but even though I got my PSTV right before the prices shot right up it still cost me 110 AUD. As far as I know it's got to the point a Vita is the cheaper option now.
I'd like it to be more widely available as the definitive version of Persona 4. Since it's one of the most common "How can I play this?" questions I see around the internet.

"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobDoesn't help most laptops now can at least decently emulate the original, whereas the remake was only available for one relatively underselling handheld, and its emulation status is experimental right now.
"No will to break."I figure in Death Battles each opponent counts as a "boss" character, so status effect spells would be worthless.
Well the fact that she learns Diarahan means anything less than 1 hit KO or running her out of MP means a Solo battle victory aint going to happen.
Kasumi's Arcana is La Foi (The Faith)
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!Judging from the design, it looks like alternate Death?
...Atlus isn't just making Arcanas up, right?
It's from the super-obscure Visconti-Sforza Tarot, the oldest tarot cards we have, hence its lack of a number.

Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Given it's name I'd say it's maybe an alternate Priestess/Hierophant
Weight of the World (GBVS)apparently bullets are now gonna refill after every battle
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaYeah, just found out about that now, too. So we have Consultant (alternate magician) from Grand Esoterica deck, and Faith (unused in modern decks) from the Visconti Sforza deck. This is interesting. Since they said there will be more additional Confidants, I wonder if each will get an Arcana from different decks.
For reference, this is how Faith card looks like◊. Pretty similar to Kasumi's arcana.
Not sure how good/bad that change will be. I almost never use Guns other than for hitting weaknesses.

Huh, that's actually a pretty good change, I'd say. Like I pretty much only used guns to hit weaknesses, but mostly because they're limited so using them for weaknesses is the best bang for your buck. If they refill after every encounter, then you could use them as a one-turn damage boost, as a full clip unloaded on a single target can often out-damage a regular physical attack. It makes it a more viable choice in combat, which is nice.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Interestingly, it looks like Kasumi's Confident only goes up to 5. That is probably how far you can take it before she join's the phantom thieves. Like how Sojiro's confident couldn't go beyond a certain point before Futaba joins the team. Guess they want to make that more obvious this time.
I wish they would actually do that storylock with more Confidants, especially the party members. It would allow their character developments to actually be more in line with the main story.
It worked really well with Sojiro, I'd hope they used it more often going forward.
I wonder if Wakaba had any ties to the Kirijo Or Nanjo groups at some point. Her being a former Kirijo scientist would make sense why she's so into the Cognitive world.
It would also make Masayoshi Shido retroactively even worse, since he's essentially continuing Grandpa Kirijo's evil legacy, in a sense.
Watch Symphogearuhm. wow.
that's going to fuck the balance of the game because guns are stupid strong. like, the whole reason they didn't refill after every battle was because it would be too strong otherwise. not to mention once you unlock the skill that auto-downs an enemy by emptying your clip... yeesh.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeI think the desire to tie everything together like that is both human nature and one of our greatest curses. It's fit to be a final boss in a Persona game.
Edited by Clarste on Jun 16th 2019 at 9:09:50 AM
I thought of that as well, and wonder if the Tower Confidant will be re-balanced to accommodate for that mechanic change.
That would explain a hell of a lot. Her theories on the metaverse were a little too on the nose weren't they? I mean, when Futaba repeated them, everyone commented on how they were nearly word for word what Morgana told them.
Only someone who'd been there could describe it so well, or someone who'd been somewhere similar, like a secret hour taking place between 11:59 and 12:00 Midnight?
One Strip! One Strip! No, bad dog, no treat!
I mean, Wakaba was getting government backing that was ultimately tied to the villain, right? It's not like she was doing research on her own in her basement. The desire to downplay her skill and claim that no one could possibly get anything done if they aren't connected to this one exact company that we were told was important in one game honestly strikes me as a rather disgusting and near-sighted fan-ficcy way of viewing the world. Like you don't want to ever let the world move on from P3, like everything only exists relative to that.
I mean, this kind of thing seems to happen every couple of years or more on its own, doesn't it? Gods of the collective unconscious making themselves manifest and choosing champions and whatnot? It's not that hard for a researcher to find material without direct connections to Mitsuru.

I'm not a dog!
<Grabs treat and eats it>
I'm taking this anyway though. You don't waste good treats. Who are you to deny me huh?
Getting serious, I don't recall them saying she was funded by Shido, but I guess it's possible. I can't quite remember what Shido was doing before he was approached by Akechi and all.
Anyway, I'm taking my damn treat, and leaving. Try and stop me.
One Strip! One Strip!Old man Kirijo managed to mess with Shadows somehow, though it would probably be something very out there to normal science.
Wake me up at your own risk.
A vs battle isn't exactly interesting news outside of a vs battle thread.
