If it helps, it stirred up a lot of controversy at least.
Pissed people off.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Found it!
Apparently she was doxxed by some jealous band-mates. The idol group manager resigned, & I think they hired a woman during the investigations now.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The idol industry genuinely terrifies me.
Like it's not just the weird exploitation of kids and teenagers, it's the creepy as fuck ownership their fans display over them. Then again it's not like Western fans of actresses are any better.
Which is why Rise decides to go back to it because it's so awesome, he said in an attempt to tie this back to Persona
I'm not sure Western fandoms are much better, though. We live in a society where, among other things, an indie browser game, a silly movie about ghosts, and an installment of a popular sci-fi franchise have somehow become major rallying cries for literal Nazis, after all.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Well all have our problems.
Simple as that.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Which is why I'm not really fond of critiquing other countries' pop-culture to be honest. Seems hypocritical.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Its not hypocritical if you are willing to acknowledge & own your own shit.
Try not to make excuses.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Shitty people are shitty regardless of where they are born.
And just to be clear, male Idols don't have it better than the girls either.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. All right guys, I think it is time to cancel humanity.
Don't catch you slippin' now. This is why the Bad End of P5 is the true canon ending.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."SMTIV White Ending is literally the best ending in all of video games.
No, that's SJR Law+ ending
(haven't actually played SJR)
That's all the + endings actually.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Damn taking over the world with Persona powers sounds like a hoot.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The big symbol of how P5 doesn't go far enough with its social critique for me is Shido. He should, by all accounts, be a far-right japanese ultranationalist. It's what makes sense for the critique of the game and would give the proceedings a lot more weight because it's dealing with a real problem and taking a stand against it.
However it doesn't do that. Shido's just a generic empty populist. His actual political views aren't elaborated upon besides being generally elitist.
There's honestly quite a lot the game could address in terms of japanese society that it doesn't, like LGBT+ issues, how it treats the zanichi koreans, and so on. But for all its bluster it doesn't seem to want to rock the boat THAT badly.
One Fanfic I read pretty much has Joker and his friends become full blown demons that take over the world thanks to video game mechanics.
And because we don't know what his parents are like, his mom is depicted as a crazy axe murderer that kills Jokers dad because he didn't believe him when he got arrested, and is eventually shown to have a Giant Yaldaboath sized persona based on Wu Zetian, for extra Caligula kicks.

Watch SymphogearFunny enough the anime I can give for not including him separating from the ultranationalist party, though its clear he still only cares about himself, with his allies thus being normal members of the political party.
Sounds like I need to read it. Got a link?
I know Demon Joker is a thing. Ive seen fanart of it with Mishima.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The Yakuza series generally gets into the whole discrimination of other asian races like Chinese, Koreans, and the Japanese that just happen to share Korean or Chinese blood in them.
Sure:

Kinda on the nose and somewhat schlocky, and doesn't have the best grammar from the start, but its a pretty over the top read if you are in the right mindset.

Watch SymphogearZu Weitian? Is she related to Ring Kichard the Thrid?
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."I meant Wu Zetian, but yeah.
Watch SymphogearFGO intensifies

I seem to recall reading something that said that while the game never comes out and explicitly says what his politics are, a lot of his iconography and the general way he presents himself are meant to evoke that.
Like, a Japanese player could look at him and say "Oh, he's like Abe", or something.
Of course, I don't remember all the details and this analysis could be wrong, so take that with a grain of salt.
Oh God! Natural light! He has the Imperial Japanese naval banner, the Asian equivalent of the Swastika, on both his cape and the floor of his boss room, so he's at least heavily implied to be one if nothing else.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."
That's really not any better!
