I like Fist Of The Blue Sky better.

It's the setting.

An useless name, a forsaken connection.

I think I need to check out both series as soon as I get a chance.

Nothing like some old-style brutal violence to relieve stress at the end of a long day...

So I just managed to view two episodes (episodes 13 and 14)

The show amuses me, but it comes off as more "funny" than "action-packed." I honestly just broke out laughing when it would pause the fight to have some announcer ham up the history of some fictional martial art technique.

I might pick up the DVD set, but definitely not for the $60 the local brick and mortar store wants for it. Something like $30 is more what I think its worth.

EDIT: I'm actually gonna give the manga a go—the first 44 chapters are up on Manga Fox.

I cannot recommend the manga highly enough. The anime has way too much stock footage and filler to be worth taking seriously.

Ai Wo Torimodose!! is still epic, though.

I watch it for certain reasons. But somehow I like it on its own in the end, every time. Oh, Narm Charm.

All I can say is... I might buy the DVD set, but it won't replace DBZ in my heart any time soon.
