Crocker Tea Break... I'd personally go with Mid-Battle Tea Break, or something like that.

I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.

What's with the Crocker part anyway?

Hmm...

My first thought was "Doesn't Paul Crocker drink coffee?"

Or "did Chris Crocker make a new video?"

I don't think which Crocker it is really matters, but just Crocker Tea Break doesn't imply that the tea break is in the middle of a fight or anything. How long ago was this trope launched, and is the name keeping it obscure?

In this case it would be the Denzel Crocker Tea Break.

I am a large fan of the series, but I agree it should be more neutral. Mid Battle Break or Pause would work.

Even though Crocker immediately made me think of Fairly Odd Parents, it actually threw me off, I've seen this joke more usually done as a playful Take That! at the English suggesting that they have to stop whatever they're doing, even if they're locked in a battle to the death with a hated foe, whenever the clock strikes 4:00pm, for a cup of tea and some biscuits.

Want to rename a trope? Step one: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Mid-Battle Tea Break keeps the concept that it often more than just the combatants stopping for a few seconds or a minute or so to catch their breath.

Earliest edit in the page history is April 3, 2010. There is no discussion page implying that there was no YKTTW discussion, it has 18 wicks, and a somewhat impressive 38 referrals.

Yeah, mid battle tea break. But keep the original image.

"Tea break" is the important part of the trope name. Mid-Battle Tea Break would work fine as a rename.

The original image is perfect, leave it.

It's not perfect. It only shows the tea break, not the mid battle part. Add a battle picture before that, and then it would be perfect.

"Crocker" adds nothing to the name; it fails all the criteria for Character Named Tropes: Not iconic, fails the One Mario Limit, and even knowing the Trope Namer provides no information about the trope. Further, "tea break" is too specific, as having tea is merely one of the forms the trope can take.

A good title should emphasize that the break is comedic in nature, if possible, as this trope is entirely for Rule of Funny. Mid Battle Break Scene?

This is my bad, guys; I started the article long before I had any idea how things worked around here. No YKTTW or anything.

All for a rename, though. Mid Battle Tea Break, as suggested above, works pretty well.

It might be better to have the image show both the battle and the tea time moment, in a sort of before and after thing. Since I don't know the context of the original pic, here's an example using Brawl.

Belief or disbelief rests with you.

I like Combat Intermission, myself. Short and to the point.

While I get both Combat Intermission AND Mid Battle Tea Break, Combat Intermission doesn't fully capture the trope (Combat Intermission + Go-Karting with Bowser would cover it though (EDIT: Note that this is not a suggestion for renaming! Just an example of the trope core that would be needed to added to the proposed name for it to make sense)), while Mid Battle Tea Break strikes me as sliiiightly too clunky.

I'd like to keep some kind of (more recognisable) reference in there. I sort of liked Fairly Odd Parents at one point, and I missed the idea of this trope completely, so it pretty much needs to be re-named. Until then I shall watch the re-naming process disapprovingly, with pursed lips.

Don't just suggest it in the thread, add it to the crowner.
