^The bet was that if they could live until help came they could keep the donated organs, but if they couldn't she'd take them back shortly before they died. Besides being killed a more gruesome way than starving or whatever, it wasn't that bad of a deal.
It would also explain why Westerners find robots creepy and fear them turning on them. We don't believe in Happiness in Slavery, and tend to expect that, if we become dependent on robots, robots will see us as unnecessary and turn on us. Which is just plain ridiculous.
'''YOU SEE THIS DOG I'M PETTING? THAT WAS COURAGE WOLF.Cute, isn't he?^ Fun fact: Isaac Asimov wrote a lot about this theory, he called it the "Frankenstein Complex"
De gustibus non est disputandum.Ah, well, off to read the new chapter.
I can't seem to find anything in Franken Fran truly disgusting or cringe worthy at all. Seriously.
Does this mean somethings wrong with me?

Since when were you under the impression that I was Aizen? It means the author's art is easy on the eyes. Sometimes I feel like eating those guts, myself.
'''YOU SEE THIS DOG I'M PETTING? THAT WAS COURAGE WOLF.Cute, isn't he?So do I. And I somehow managed to gain Perverse Sexual Lust for Fran.
Somehow.
Since when were you under the impression that I was Aizen?So...why exactly did that girl lose her hair and skin and ended up looking like an alien-ish creature again? I know it has to do with the surgeries...but the story usually explains this sort of stuff...
"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."I assumed that THAT was the "serious side-effects" that Fran mentioned here:

But you're right, it doesn't really seem to have even a pseudo-scientific explanation.
Seriously though, guys, you have such poor tastes. Fran? Adorea? Pah! Fools! Fools, all of you! Obviously Gavrill is the hottest of them all. I mean, come on...
http://www.1000manga.com/Franken_Fran/40/02-03/
Look at that Absolute Cleavage. Look at the artfully unzipped pants. Look at that full mane of wild wavy hair. Look at those beautiful, gleaming fangs. If you don't have Perverse Sexual Lust for her you need to go get eye surgery from Fran.

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."^^Evil Is Sexy?
I was thinking she'd probably get Leather Pants'd when I read it. From some people.

^^Oh, I used to think that too. But even Veronica's moemoe vanishes like dewdrops under the scorching desert sun before the utterly bloody magnificence that is Gavrill-sama!1!!one11!!!1
^She literally has on leather pants. Just thought I'd point that out.
I will personally destroy anyone who tries to Leather Pants her though. She is magnificent because of her evilness, and anyone who tries to downplay how despicable and evil she is will be swiftly eradicated by yours truly.

Fran? Evil? Isn't she more of a Well-Intentioned Extremist than anything else, with emphasis on the well intentioned part?
Yeah, she's kind of true neutral, more than anything, and what she does to people is because her moral codes tell her that it's better for people to be alive in any state than to die. On occasion, she's deliberately made sure people get their just deserts, but mostly it's a side effect of what she does.
If I remember correctly, the closest thing to evil she ever does was feed those terrorists to Adorea...or perhaps helping that cult who took a man's daughter away.
The goodest(not a word...I know) thing she did was probably helping the blind artist find love, saving a little girl's brother, and...anything that didn't backfire.
I'd have to say she's more chaotic good...who is unable to understand why certain things might not work with normal human beings (for example, the fact that she couldn't figure out why the scientists all left in disgust when she tried to present her maggot-styled birthing method).

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."The problem is that she doesn't understand why some things she comes up with are so upsetting for people. I've noticed that she's kind of a romantic, and such helps people whose predicaments are romance-orientated, due to being moved.
It also seems like she does things that interest her, or will benefit her work. It doesn't seem to bother her much if things don't go to plan. If she was chaotic good, she would be more likely to put more effort into rectifying things that do go wrong and into making sure they don't outside of the perimeters of her job.
I wonder if Gavrill can also transform her body and face to resemble other women, or enhance certain features
. (Instead of just turning into horrifying hybrid monstrosities).
If she can do that her hotness just shot straight up.
Well, until she grows couple extra mouth filled with pointy teeth and swallow you whole. I can totally see this happening in Franken Fran.

Just finished the series. Lordy. That's probably going to pop back up in my head at bedtime. Frankly, I thought the most disturbing piece out of the entire thing was the character of Adorea. I never did understand what went wrong in the chapter with the cave in. What, exactly, was Fran's 'bet'? And didn't the character 'B' from the storytime chapter look an awful lot like the man who called her an angel in the cave in story?
