-Samus moves to start doing a few stretches-
Samus: You know, there actually have been many instances where something initially dismissed as weak has brought low even the strongest of people. Have you ever heard of a creature called a "tree frog" before?
We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)Samus: They're a type of frog who live most of their lives up in the trees. There's a particular species of them that live in a rain forest on a continent called "Africa". They're about the size of your finger nail and their coloration makes them stick out like a man caught in the middle of town with a bloody knife.
And yet, they have few natural predators. Most animals stay as far away from them as possible. Can you guess why that is?
We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)Samus: Because of their bodies. To be specific, their diet. They consume creatures such as ants, centipedes, and mites, which causes their body to build up alkaloids in their system. They essentially turn themselves into a natural poison factory, which can potentially kill anything that attempts to eat it. I read the most poisonous of these tree frogs could kill at least two full grown elephants with just a milligram of poison entering their system.
Not many people would think something the size and strength of a poison dart frog could kill them, but it can certainly happen.
