Fresh-eyed movie blogIs this glitch also the one that does infinitely-nesting posts, or is that a different one/everyone using the same glitch?
Edit: now that's even weirder than I expected.

Fresh-eyed movie blogEd
->I'm on a drug called "Charlie Sheen"
It's not available, if you take it once you will die
Your face will melt off
And your childred will weep over your exploded body-
Over your exploded body.
->You love to party
What's not to love?
The run I was on made Jagger and Richards look like
Droppy-eyed armless children.
That's how I party, that's how I party.

WINNING

EPIC WINNING
Are you bipolar?
I'm bi-WINNING

Let's do another glitch: comments inside headings!
By the way, check the source for the hidden code that I put in that above comment!
I made my username back in 2009 when I had no idea how capitalization/camel case worked. That's why it's in all lower case.Skims thread
Wow, I leave for six hours and everything goes to hell again.
Anyhow, I spent the day ruminating on why the whole "White Privilege" argument offends me so. I mean, it is technically true * , and I cannot deny that racism exists. Yet on the other hand, the argument generally makes me want to punch people in the face. I've tried to explain my point of view several times in shorter posts (as well as a few longer ones); here's one more attempt before I give up on this thread entirely.
The reason I don't like "White Privilege" * in a nutshell; It's insulting to me and people like me, especially within the context of this thread.
How is it insulting? Several ways.
- 1: It demeans my accomplishments. White Privilege states that I received some special advantages because of my race. The implication there is that I would not have succeeded when I did were I not to possess this advantage. Ergo, my accomplishments mean less, for an arbitrary reason.
- 2: It negates, or at least marginalizes, the problems I have. Many people have stated that whites are not discriminated against, systematically at least. The implication there is that any hardships I suffer must be of my own making, not the result of any outside force. When combined with the above, is it any wonder I and many others like me consider it unfair?
- 3: It is racist. Yes, you read that right. Someone who aims White Privilege in my direction because I'm white is making assumptions about my life, my position and my accomplishments based solely on the color of my skin. If that ain't racist, I don't know what is. You can justify it with whatever numbers you want to dig up; Nazi Germany, the KKK and others have done the same to justify their racism as well. Good luck with that; it may be "true", but its still racist thinking.
- 4: In the context of this forum, those using it are often being hypocritical. If the demographics in the "What's your job?" thread are anything to go by, 80 to 90 percent of those reading this are unemployed and living off someone else's good graces; family, loans or the government's largesse. Now, for the first two, it sounds like privilege. The last one makes the accusation of white privilege doubly insulting, for the following reason...
Where does government money come from?
Taxes.
Where do taxes come from?
Taxpayers.
Who are taxpayers?
Me, and others like me.
It's not too much of a stretch to posit that you * are biting the hand what feeds you by hurling accusations of "Privilege" in my face while I pay your bills.
Sure, that last doesn't apply to all of you. But from where this guy sits, that's what it feels like. And I know plenty of people who feel the same way. It's aggravating, and makes us care less about the plight we're discussing here. Heck, it's even enough to make someone into a racist out of sheer frustration. I've seen it happen before, and it always makes me sad.
So I have a proposal.
We've established throughout the course of this thread that racism is a problem. We all agree on that. How much of a problem is it? A debatable point, as the last umpty-dozen pages of posts clearly illustrates. Instead of quibbling over who said "tomato" and/or how they pronounced it (which, let's face it, describes roughly three quarters of the posts here) let's instead focus on ideas for solving the problem...ones that don't involve insulting or demeaning people. *
In fact, let's drop the whole "racism" angle and instead discuss prejudice and discrimination in general, as well as how they can be mitigated.
Because after all, "racism" is just one form of prejudice. There are many, and from where I sit they're all equally shitty.
If I were to write some of the strange things that come under my eyes they would not be believed. ~Cora M. Strayer~I am ever so slightly peeved.

Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time

Ending the comment+heading glitch. I think.
Testing horizontal lines:
- The final boss in Ed Edd N Eddy The Mis Edventures is a giant ball of naken women. In an E-rated game. Based on Ed Edd N Eddy. What. Not to mention that you kill it by Pshyche! The real final boss (actually the only boss you fight in the main levels, the other two are found in the bonus levels) is just the Kanker sisters standing on a platform and shooting kisses at you. But now that I got your attention, I can tell you that you just lost the game.
Thanks for that. In the absence of special cases we've got some standard namespaces to use, which you can find here.
Checking size stuff. Don't mind me.
Why can't we make large text any more? I could understand back when Janitor scrapped making giant text [+++++++++++++++++++++++by doing something like this only moreso+++++++++++++++++++++++], but why can't I even do the up to three point sizes larger like I could before?

In Japan, this genre is most often referred to as “yuri” (literally meaning lily) and is popular enough to have found its own mainstream publishing niche. * While Girls’ Love is not as popular as Boys' Love there, the popularity of Girls’ Love is slowly growing. Unlike Boys' Love which is only targeted towards women, or Bara which is only targeted towards men, Girls’ Love can be targeted towards men and/or women.
In the past, a disproportionate amount of Girls’ Love stories have ended tragically or inconclusively. Some would move on to boy-girl relationships with the romantic two-girl friendship as only a steppingstone. Others were driven insane when the other girl enters a "real" relationship with a boy, and still others stepped back to let their love be happy with another. Finally, many got killed off for the same purpose. Many Girls' Love works were just left inconclusive or up to subjective interpretation. Luckily, this is changing as more and more Girls' Love couples are allowed to have happy, committed and canon endings.
There are generally three couple types that can often be found within the genre. Unlike Boys' Love, Girls’ Love tends not to use the dominant/submissive personal roles. The three most popular couples are as follows:
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: The pairing of a very or relatively masculine girl with a decisively feminine girl. This pairing can often emulate a lot of the dynamics of heterosexual couples.
- Sempai/Kouhai: A very common couple type to Japanese works is the pairing of two students, one older and one younger. The older one will generally be very elegant while the younger one will be fairly innocent.
- Hot for Student: While not as popular as the other two couples, this teacher/student couple type can often found be found within the genre. A prominent Western example would be ‘’Loving Annabelle’’ while a prominent Japanese example would be ‘’Junsui Adolescence’’.
Girls' Love is the genre; couple-specific examples should only be listed below if they’re the focus of the series. Boys' Love and Bara are the Gender Flipped versions. For video games that have a Girls' Love pathway in its plot but the game itself isn't themed around it, see Gay Option. For works that aren't Girls' Love but attract a lot of Girls' Love fanworks, see Slash Fic and Everyone Is Gay. Also see Schoolgirl Lesbians and "Romantic" Two-Girl Friendship.
Four more posts (three now, maybe less if I get ninja'd) and this will go to another page, which will hopefully negate the effects of the youtube-inside-hottip glitch.
Fun fact: I play around in Wikipedia's sandbox from time to time (the site has lots of awesome formatting styles, even though for 99% of the articles their useless), but I never actually save my changes. I just click preview, and hen I'm done messing around I usualy hit cancel. (It's mainly because the crap I do have on there is spoilers for either of two Total Drama fan-competitions I'm working on.)
