You have to remember that dragons have a slightly Blue-and-Orange Morality by our standards.
He who fights bronies should see to itthat he himself does not become a brony. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, Pinkie Pie gazes AlsoIt does on the Burning Plains =/ You know, the place with the constantly eruptinghot geysers?
And I don't care if Saphira has a different morality. She killed a messenger under truce.
Hell, in our world, that really is tantamount to giving them the finger and saying 'Fuck you ya Nazi bastards!"
There are too many toasters in my chimney!(Empires Messenger): "So flee I say, or suffer the doom of your herald"
With that the soldier untied a canvas sack and flourished a severed head.
Yeah… doesn't get much clearer than that.
He who fights bronies should see to itthat he himself does not become a brony. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, Pinkie Pie gazes AlsoHmmmm...
Nope. A herald isn't an ambassador; it's a messenger. Sorry, there's no flag of truce for heralds.
Of course, this could invalidate everything I said.
I will say, though, that an eye for an eye don't work. Congratulations, Saphira, you sunk to the Empire's level. Only you couldn't even have the decency to end his life yourself.
There are too many toasters in my chimney!... That's exactly what I meant by saying she was as bad as the Empire.
What, they did it so it's fine for us to do it?
Does that mean the Varden is set to kidnap some random woman, drug her, poison her and pump her for information? I mean, the Empire did it first, it's totes justifiable!
There are too many toasters in my chimney!Well, it can work. Take the series Animorphs for example. The main running theme is how has war goes on, black and white morality is not so black and white. You get a lot of angstage and calling out amongst the cast, as they make not so pretty decisions. In the last book, Jake is pretty much called a terrorist at one point, and even though he gets off, he's pretty shaken up about it.
Read my stories! It doestnt try too hard to portray it favorably here either, Paolini just doesn't focus as much on the angst, but it is clear that the characters are uncomfortable with it.

Read my stories!

No- she deliberately did it in the Burning Plains.
She didn't deliberately kill him, the same as someone who pushes you off a building doesn't deliberately kill you. After all not their fault you can't survive a hit to the ground.
