Won another game with Aladdin's Ring earlier.

Never get tired of saying that.

[up] I feel the need to keep up with the Moonses.

I shall build a deck that wins with Wood Elemental oh wait that is utterly impossible.

Edit: Except for one guy.

Try harder! Crucible of Worlds, Terravore, Fling...

Hmm...

Crucible, Prismatic Omen, Fastbond and Carpet of Flowers...a few ways of cheating it into play...many, many Eldrazi Spawn...This might actually be doable. Just not very impressive. Also, I own none of these cards.

Didn't stop me.

Then again, people were only too happy to give me their Rods of Ruin and Aladdin's Rings.

OK. I'll need four Fire Servants and four copies of Furnace of Rath.

That's a multiplier of 2 to the 8th power, or 256; I could kill you with Scorching Spear.

So, today in EDH, a dude used Trickbind to get in some damage past a Glare of Subdual. Everyone thought it was an awesome play, myself included, especially since the Glare dude was kind kicking everyon else's ass at that point...but then I meekly pointed out the creature I had in play. sad

(Although I should point out that since I acquired that Teferi with Evangelize from the same guy who later tried to Trickbind, and he could've given me my Akroma back instead, so it's not really my fault.)

Also, I have decided that the Akroma deck is way too slow for regular use. EDH games without an aggressive deck (like my Karrthus) are looooooooong.

I guess it is.

Today's evil idea: Snake Cult Initiation for the infect deck.

Are you guys have a contest for "worst card to base a deck on"?

Also I dug up my old, old old "Dome shot" red deck. It's pretty much filled to the brim with lightning bolts, lava bursts and ghitu fires.

I used to win so much with this deck it was ridiculous.

@Dorku: I had a worse idea earlier.

I suggested my friend splash black in his Devour deck for Grave Pact.

[up][up] Oh, I remember that one.

[up] Slightly worse; Scorching Spear at least multiplies with Fire Servant (even if it is a sorcery).

Hornet Sting is much better because of the off-color-ness, though (and for being an instant, as well). Green doesn't exactly have a wealth of options when it comes to dealing direct damage to things that aren't flyers—its predecessor is one of the only ones I can think of.

That's the point I was trying to make.

Speaking of green: accursed elves! Maybe I should put Engineered Plague in my white weenie deck to deal with it.

[up][up][up] As a utility card for sniping glass cannons and mana dorks, yes. As a build-around card, no.

I just made a But Wait, There's More deck, that uses Sleeper Agents and Bazaar Trades Vatmothers to opponents, employing Platinum Creatures and Thieves to stay alive. I'm somewhat worried that I won't be able to play this without going into a sales pitch, though.

Finally managed to get more cards for my liquimetal coating deck. As usual, there was one card I forgot to buy (a single Ancient Stirrings I needed to complete the playset). But more fortunately, I came across a cluster of SIX Lightning Bolts in a box of M11 commons going for a dime each.

Maybe I should mail a playset to Blackmoon. tongue I think at this point I have three.

Funny guy, Gelzo. tongue I'm already running 3 of Lightning Bolt and Shock in the one deck I own that has red in it and isn't EDH.

So right now, where I live, basically every plant outside is covered in ice. It looks like I'm on Mirrodin when the sun comes up in the morning.

I guess with green you could always Lignify a creature.

@Haven Or Ghostly Prison perhaps? Hell, why not Wrath them? However if this is going to aid you in the destruction of my Elf deck, I would rather you splash in green for said Lignify.
