Indeed, someone cast a Time Stretch in the EDH game I played on Cockatrice today and ended up being the first one dead...mind you, he'd have lived to cast it a second time if he hadn't made the mistake of casting Niv-Mizzet while I had Karrthus in the command zone and mana to cast it and he was at 9 life.
Also in the same game, I stole a Sliver Overlord
deck's Amoeboid Changeling
with Karrthus before he managed to do any shenanigans with it. Hah!

I guess it is.Easily done with Titan/Coffers/Urborg. However, from the official EDH rules: "Abilities which refer to other cards owned outside the game (Wishes, Spawnsire, Research, Ring of Ma'ruf) do not function in EDH unless the optional sideboard rule is in use. If sideboards are used, wishes and similar cards may retrieve sideboard cards."

I guess it is.So, here's an ethical question for you all. My EDH deck contains Hellkite Charger
. Suppose I added Sword of Feast and Famine
, simply because it's a good card. (I won't, mainly because I can't afford one.) Would it be acceptable to join a game marked "no infinite combos"? I mean, yeah, my deck would contain one, but it would be purely incidental. And yet I'd be playing poorly if I were to avoid using the combo when it comes up...
Just a random thought I had after playing a "no infinite combos" game on Cockatrice.
I guess it is.I'd probably expect people to cry foul in that situation, and possibly just kick me and go on with the game. Which is reasonable, because they specified no infinite combos. But on the other hand, what am I supposed to do if I draw both cards? Just not play one? Promise not to use Charger's ability? There doesn't seem to be an ideal solution here.
I guess it is.My EDH deck has an infinite mana (thus an infinite P/T combo thanks to Ezuri), but it's a much more unlikely win condition than just plowing through earlier in the game.
By the way, the necessary card is Umbral Mantle
.
But are you playing the card just for the combo? If so, I think it's reasonable to ban your deck from "no infinite combo" games (or at least ask you to take that card out), even if it's not a combo deck as such. In my hypothetical example, the combo is essentially accidental. I mean, SoFaF would be decent in my deck, completely ignoring the potential to go infinite. (Bear Umbra
would be a much better choice than Sword if the combo was the main goal.)

I guess it is.Well yes, but it's a pretty damn fragile combo, so it's not as if it makes the deck overpowered. I don't really get the point of enforcing rules all that strictly if the game is a casual one and we're ignoring the original intent behind having the rule in the first place.
I can take it out, but I think I'd end up making some changes to the deck to improve it in other ways. I guess there's no reason I have to limit myself to the cards I own if we're playing in cyberspace.
Ruining everything forever.Possible deck idea: Stuffy Doll. Creatures that ping for 1 or 2, Shocks, Lightning Bolts. Ali from Cairo and Fortune Thief to prevent going below 1 life. Near Death Experience. Little bit of emergency lifegain.
Set the dolls on yourself, then beat the living shit out of yourself for the win. Throw in a Platinum Angel for the win. Or splash black for Yawgropotence for the douchewin.
Stuffy Doll + Shivan Meteor = win.

Why I am afraid of fences.Blackmoon, you'll need a bit more help
than the two prevention effects you already have.
Also, consider Academy Rector
? You can Bolt/Shock it at EOT to fetch Near Death Experience.
Well, so much for instant-speed enchantment casting. Best I could think of, barring Leyline of Anticipation, is Reweave
. Oh well, we have the other game-loss prevention effects to fall back on.
Going back over my decklist, seems I only needed one more March.
I'm sure I'll find something fun to do with the other two. Maybe my Sunburst deck?
I was thinking of putting Counterspells and Cancels in my Aladdin's Ring deck, but then I thought of a funnier way to do it with the insane amounts of mana I'll be tossing around: Condescend
and Power Sink.
I'll probably just sideboard 'em for when I play against control or artifact destruction.
Decklists for Knights vs Dragons.
They aren't hugely impressive but I'll probably end up buying it anyway for the dragons.
Edit: And the goblins.
And the dragons that eat goblins.
And probably the knights too.

Is that new-art Bogardan Hellkite foil? If so, WANT.
Edit: Looks as though it's not foil. A shame. I'm not normally a foil whore, but given I can get a From the Vault one for only a buck or so more, I'd rather proceed with the plan to make all the dragons in my EDH foil. Ah well; the new art is nice but it probably only looks better because I've seen the old one so many times by now. New-art Loxy Warhammer is potential want, and SCG is preordering it at less than previous versions.

I guess it is.I was shifting through the cards I have stored back home, and I found this.
Seems like it could work for the Liquimetal deck.

summoning multiple Eldrazi(s) on the same turn is even flashier. And something that would be nigh impossible to do except for this. Not very efficient, but your opponents will have the look of a strung fish.
