Just post whatever comes to mind.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.
If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.
Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

Spelunking through a Halo Ring is something else...Last night, I realized that I reached the 10000th day of my life not too long ago. I feel kind of old now... :P
A great Mascot Mook.Swimming is fun.
Yes it is. :)
Heaven is a tropical rainforest.Random music thoughts:
- I remember hearing one reason why downloading/streaming music became preferred over physical albums is because some people only want to hear one or two songs off albums. I can't say I've had that problem much. If I like one song from a band, I probably like others. Like, I've just discovered Chevelle after listening to only "The Red" for months. I didn't venture out and listen to their other songs, until just now. As expected, I like one song so I like their other stuff too.
- I've never been to a rock/metal concert so maybe I'm missing something, but I don't 'get' mosh pits. Why not just listen to the music like normal?
- Lurking r/metal makes me think about being a metal fan. I've ID's as a metal fan for years, but other metal fans like, I dunno, black metal or other "hard" metals. I like symphonic metal, gothic metal, nu-metal... Those are all just deemed "beginner's metal" by many but I've liked them for over a decade with no change.
- I remember I've thought about getting into "goth fashion" for years because it seems simpler to dress yourself and it's cute, but digging into the goth scene shows that "goth" is a music subculture over anything else. You can't be goth if you don't like goth music. I hate goth music. Like, actual goth bands like The Cure, not not-goth-despite-others-claims like Evanescence or Marilyn Manson.
Overthinking pools makes me nervous to use pools. Public pools are apparently super unsanitary. I haven't visited one in over 15 years. But, the beach is also unsanitary too; you always hear about bacteria in the water.

I know that, where do ya think I got that ear infection from a while ago?
Speaking of, the ear plugs you use to avoid gettimg water into your ears are really uncomfortable to wear, Christ.
...and it's not even technically a public pool, at that.

I've been reflecting on the notion of letting others speak for you when you could say the exact same thing, but with a more personal touch.
Politicians let speechwriters make their speeches for them because the speechwriters usually have a better flair for it, but if it kind of depersonalizes the message.
If it's SAFER to let someone speak for you then it's okay, but the Internet has only so many permutations of the words you're thinking and you can only choose from so many of them.
And depending on the importance of the message...the impact it will have, the benefit to the audience...
There's a certain defining aspect to the things a person says, how they say it, when they say it, where they say it, and to whom. I've never found the best venue for my words, and I think it's made me kind of languish verbally...I wish I could fix that..
I've never thought much of ear infections from pools. My brain automatically goes to brain infections, but those are really rare.
In a similar vein I've often had trouble with talking. Not being able to put my thoughts into words to properly express what I mean. That's why I like writing, it gives one time to think about what you want to say.
Merry Chriztmaz ya filthy animals!x2 Ear and eyes infections are the most common one would get from pools, barring the occasional cold.
Edit: This is so stupid but so cute at the same time.
Edit 2: You know, sometimes, in life, I need to remember that I have the option of simply not giving a sh*t if I just don't feel like it.

this music plays whenever I post also a boxSpeaking of Netflix, it's hard finding a way to access it for people who don't like gaming. I've wanted to put it on a relative's tv for a while. Years ago, I used to use a Wii as a Netflix box, but the Wii version has been discontinued so that sucks.
My very own Troper Wall is open for business.
Is it right to post something like that here?
"Scooby Dooby Doo!"Yeah, this is the place for randomness.
I wonder how long it takes for people to get accustomed to a new avatar, especially when you rarely change avatars to begin with
this music plays whenever I post also a boxI often go looking back through people's avatar galleries to get an idea of who they are.
"...in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach."I remember being on another where I turned off avatars for some reason, might have been due to obnoxious animated avatars everywhere I think
this music plays whenever I post also a boxIf I turned off avatars I wouldn't remember who half of you are.
"...in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach."I never get used to keeping just one avatar.
Sometimes I used to change them daily.
Yeah. So I see.
"...in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach."This cool random thought just occurred to me.
Who has the cooler cape: Spawn or Doctor Strange?
Heaven is a tropical rainforest.Almost every time I watched some media about Christmas, I was really weirded out by the idea of 12 days of Christmas. I mean, 12 days (from 13th to 25th?)? Isn’t Christmas just Christmas Eve (24th) and Christmas (25th) itself?
If there's a book you want to read, but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it. Toni MorrisonDepends on where you are. In Hungary "Christmas" counts as Christmas eve (24), Christmas day (25) and the second day of Christmas (26).
Also I always thought that "12 days of Christmas" thing started at Christmas and lasted till Twelfth Night (6th of Jan)?
That's pretty much the same here in the UK. Christmas Day to the 6th of January is always the 12 days of Christmas over here.

Immortal words from [MY BFF'S NAME REDACTED FOR PRIVACY]: "Did you just sit on my face?" Soul Calibur VI is fun.
I certainly was. She was using a Dante she made with Maxi's style which made it doubly funny.
