Just post whatever comes to mind.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.
If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.
Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

I'm mildly worried about one of my online classes.
We had a discussion question (You post an answer to it like in a forum) on If Juveniles Should Be Tried As Adults and I made a tiny rant about my distaste for the current justice system's deficiencies towards rehabilitating criminals.
Hopefully my teacher will just be impressed that I didn't just echo every other people in my class.
Because they post nearly the same thing.
And somehow manage to have terrible spelling errors all around in it.
Indeed. I got into College and even lasted a full year lol. A guy like Rammy will get in easily.
Devypu's~ Big Pony :3-puts finger gun to side of head, pretends to pull trigger-
Yeah, I wish...
Looking for some stories? The last few days have been really stressful. Mom's dumping all this stuff about early college applications and weight loss on my head.
Looking for some stories?Walmart is using basically the same commercial for Batman: Arkham Origins as they did for Arkham City.
dead devotionLate at night, I'm making myself my own character roleplay sheet with made up stats, classes, weapons, and the like.
...I dunno why. ;p Maybe one day I'll find someone who wants to play an unspecified RPG with me and we can just roll with it.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayWhat's the main difference between reality ensuing and a character being Genre Savvy? From what I read on the former's page, it seems like there's an overlap.
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered! The difference involves how tropes are played. If as an example, I'm in historical fiction, and we're dealing with a scene in which a disgusting Lord in some manner speaks of his 'Divine Right', then the two different ways might be this:
- Reality Ensues - It's in fact sexual harassment, or worse. This leads to all sorts of consequences for the realm, and may potentially be the start of an uprising against an otherwise awful king/duke, as you will
- Genre Savvy - In this case, if I were in the story, I'd know what he wants and could use it to kill him. Whether as part of a noble plot or knowing that I'd basically be able to do plenty in that situation, which I as a character exploited for my own gain.
There is a lot of talk about unfortunate implications of Disney movies. I've found out that in order to enjoy them, I really need to turn my "progressive feminist criticism" brain off for awhile
But anyway, how about some surprisingly fortunate implications? Watching Sleeping Beauty now, and it struck me:
So the movie advocates that a child raised by 3! women! turns out perfectly fine. Take that, opponents of same-sex parenting :)
If we disagree, that much, at least, we have in common

I find that I look very negatively on games that require me to install something not already involved in the package.
Or people who make me do it.
Like mods for Minecraft servers or Raid Call when I'm raiding in Rift.
I did put in an add-on that helps me find where quests are in Rift, but that was my choice.
