Just post whatever comes to mind.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.
If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.
Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

interesting for you botanists and toxicologists
A large group of people tend to bring my mood skyrocketing all the way into the underworld.
That's how it feels for me, at least.
Being a shy person, I always feel like that around a crowd. Even if said crowd is family.
@Who I just randomly found it in a google search for something completely unrelated, but here's
the rest of it. I really didn't crop much off of it. I did brighten it up a bit, though, obviously...
@Phoenix Well, that's good. I was hoping I wouldn't be the only person to think it looks cool... ^_^
AC:NL Dream Address: 5200-2582-5967Well, this is more a drawing than photography, though...
But I find it kinda hard to find really cool and weird pictures like this one...Of course, that could just be me...
And something like this seems like it'd be fun to draw sometime...I wish I had a way to do digital art... >_<

I am sad that nobody in Britain follows British writing style.
Numbers under one-hundred must be written out. Dashes are optional, but recommended. They must be needed when writing, unless to link two items; eg "singer-songwriter".
Full stops are not needed when writing also. So it is always "eg", never e.g., and always Mr or Govt, never Mr. or Govt.
Acronyms that are sounded out must be written in regular-case. eg it is "Nato", never "NATO", nor "N.A.T.O.". Other acronyms must be written in capital letters, with no full stops.
All dates are in AD, except when clarification is needed. eg it is always "2013", never "AD 2013". However, it is okay to write "from 50 BC to AD 100" as there may be confusion with the dates.
The thousand separator must be spaces; never commas. It is 10 000 000, never 10,000,000.

Because usually, acroyms are written in brackets next to the thing they're acronyms of, unless its a well-known institution, like Nato.
So, I would write
"The European Space Agency (Esa) announced today that they would fly a cake into the moon. An Esa spokesperson said that they would make it a three-tiered cake-structure."
That feeling when someone you very much like, respect, and admire turns out to be a royal PAIN to work with.
Him: "I'd like to talk to you about how our subsystems will talk to each other; what we're currently planning will mean a lot of unnecessary work for me."
Me: "I see; let me think about it." -thinks at length- "Here's a solution that lightens your workload significantly at my expense. It even happens to mesh nicely with what everyone else is doing."
Him: "That's a terrible idea; what we're already doing should work perfectly, why would we change that?"
...
Him: "By the way, I would also like to talk about changing the standard signal format that we spent two and a half hours agreeing on last week."
Nice guy; great engineer. But I've been sorely tempted to tear his throat out more than once now. ![]()

"I'm not a nerd. I'm a specialist." ~Sousuke SagaraOnce upon a time I used to like comic books. Yes, I really did.
Specially The Marvel and DC ones.
However, nowadays there are so many comics sequels, spin-offs, Alternate Universes, Crossovers and so many new characters that it became very difficult to follow. It is much easier to read manga since at least I know it will not suddenly crossover with something else...
Still, wish I could go back to read comics...
"That is not dead which can eternal lie, And with strange aeons even death itself may die."That's why Linkara and I prefer the animated series version of X Men. ![]()
And when I was finally finished with said task, the teacher didn't accept it, instead choosing one for me.
Making it worse, the enforced role model was a sportsman... and I hate sports. And to make things worse, I couldn't even find much information about that guy. >:/
...
I guess that's... a random thought...
Hope - I don't do so because of how few of my peers do so, thus I don't want to cause confusion among them. Typically I will use commas only as to not confuse others, and acronyms are all as done typically to them.
That's what happens when your peers are American, others Europeans, and some from the Middle East - we just use one standard way to do so to prevent confusion.
(I feel the need to point out I was educated as such, but my lecturers for my degree were either American or Japanese - and both wrote the same way.)
"Did you expect somebody else?"At first I didn't think so, but Skandar Keynes is cute. ;p
And older than me. That's just weird.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stay

Do heterodoxists ever consider orthodox schools for their work, or are they all as bad as stereotyped?
