If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.

Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

The fact of the matter is, I am adopting, loud, and I eat people as a sign of affection.

Shall I get the knife, or would you prefer to use your bare hands?

You've got to do it with style. Arrange to have someone drop a turtle on your head, preferrably strapped to an anvil.

But you cannot escape the magical flying sentient turtle-anvil forever. It will follow you to the ends of the earth, waiting for the perfect moment to drop.

Also, the turtle thing was actually a super classy and intellectual reference because that's how Aeschylus died.

I noticed that reference. I wasn't sure if it was Aeschylus or some other dude. >_>

Yeah, I knew about some guy who had died from being Mario'd by a turtle from above, but I didn't know who it was and had to look it up.

If Horrible Histories serves me correct, he went to an Oracle who ripped him off. And the last thing it said was "you will be killed by a falling turtle".

And boom! The moment he walked out, he was killed by a falling turtle who mistook his bald head for a rock to break the turtle upon.

I wonder if he really did. Could have been a folk story that wormed its way into cannon.

Like the fig eating donkey incident.

[up] [up][up] Apparently not, since according the the tale the turtle survived.

I almost managed to use the phrase 'love and tolerance' in a test today. Upon further thought, I figured "kindness and generosity" was more what I was looking for, but it has now become my life's mission to use the phrase "love and tolerance" in my schoolwork without it feeling shoehorned in.

Also, I just finish having a lesson on Greek drama, and I walk in on you guys discussing Aeschylus. Fascinating. (Unless these are two different Aeschylusi we're talking about. It seems a lot of people in ancient Greece had the same names.)

Come on Zarek, how many Aeschylus do you think there are?

Like I said, this is ancient Greece. I'd wager there's at least, like, five or so.

Well, there were at least two Aristoles in those days (I forgot what the other one was). I think its plausible.

The odds of some ancient Greek guy being a philosopher are roughly 1000%.

So, out of curiosity, I decided to check Wikipedia for more information on various Aeschylusi. There were at least three different Aeschylusi in what could be called "ancient Greece" (unless my definition of "ancient = B.C." is incorrect, which it probably is); a playwright, a king of Athens, and a governmental inspector in the employ of Alexander the Great. So I was close. Ish.
