Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

What else can we name in a similar manner?

The "Happy-Go-Sit" doesn't have quite the same flair, or that's what I'd name my office chair.

Setting-wise, there's something alluring about war. You always know that there's something way bigger going on out of the scene.

A Ragtag Bunch of Misfits does its own covert thing while nameless characters battle somewhere else, only occasionally having any effect on the score.

...I have neither inspiration nor motivation, but the idea in my head just warms me up...

[up][up] I watched Beowulf the other night. The wife and I talked over the top of the whole thing. Mostly about Anglo-Saxon history and language, but also debating whether or not Beowulf was a were-bear or berserker.

It was the ragged shape of the splashes that reminded me of cobalt. I've only ever seen cut sapphires.

Lol that movie.

Berserkr is one possible interpretation. It's even been used for Grendel.

Quite frankly, I like the "rip the character completely out of the story and replace him with a skinny-armed cute witch and see how that affects the story" approach myself.

Keybeak: Those are sapphires? I thought it was a picture of rain in very blue light.

'LOL THAT MOVIE' is probably the most appropriate reaction. I liked Beowulf and Grendel better.

Or maybe he stops time, I dunno. But just imagine the applications...

Bad booze tends to have a weak/chemically/sickly-sweet flavour, far too much or far too little alcohol, lots of moob-encouraging sugar and, quite often, too many bubbles.

Bad beer/wine can also taste mildly septic, or just plain horrible.

I haven't seen Beowulf and Grendel, but I'm afraid to.

That one novel Grendel is the only adaptation of Beowulf that I'm interested in seeing.

As well as the one that has ibn-Fadlan in it for some reason.

Some of the old sexual studies on men have shown to be false, but whatever that link was it was hurting my eyes and brain and I did not get very far into it.

this is the basic gist of it:

no, men are not “sexual beings” at all, are they? certainly not any more so than anyone else, and seemingly much, much less, when we examine it in any honest way, at all. if men were the “sexual beings” they claim to be, they would be just as interested in a massage, or in getting us off, instead. (thats right, fun-fems, i said “instead,” not “too.”) or shoving things up their butts. all that “other stuff” is ”sexual” afterall. duh.

in reality, these allegedly “sexual” men, arent: they are simply aggressive and entitled, and routinely abuse girls and women by demanding PIV-sex, which is problematic for us, and not them. theres really nothing more to it, than that. and all the mansplaining in the world wont change it.

[up] My problem with that pair of paragraphs is that the author assumes that men are like that as a rule. :/

she seems to be equating "entitlement to vaginal intercourse" to "wanting to have it at all", so, technically, yeah, they are.

this doesn't mean very, much, though.

I can't get passed the horrible sentence structure. She can't seem to go more than six words without a comma, and it's making it hard to read.

I just love the way that such radfem blogs tend to criticize mainstream feminist blogs for groupthink while engaging in the same damn thing — look at how anyone disagreeing is treated in those comments there, and how much the rest of them pat themselves on the back for agreeing with the party line.

A brighter future for a darker age.
