Just post whatever comes to mind.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.
If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.
Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

I don't think I've heard honest yelling about hipsters much either, really
[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.I know a guy that is so obviously a hipster that it makes eyes burn
, yet he denies it.
Okay, first of all, I don't think that hipsterdom is a bad thing, though I like messing around with hipsters plainly For the Lulz. Second, hipsters do exist as a subculture, and there definitely are people who self-identify as hipsters.
The guy has everything that would make him a stereotypical hipster, though of a less pretentious variety - clothing style, appearance, opinions, attitude, interests. Thus, he is a hipster. The most probable reason that he, as well as many others, deny it is the general stigma against hipster culture.

The sin of silence when they should protest makes cowards of men. This would include a far, far larger amount of people than what is traditionally associated with "hipsters".
You can't even write racist abuse in excrement on somebody's car without the politically correct brigade jumping down your throat! The bad part about working from home is discovering you can do some tasks while holding a beer in one hand and working your mouse with the other.
The good part is that thing I just said.

Justice is a joy to the godly, but it terrifies evildoers.Proverbs21:15 FimFiction account. The automatic message on my uncle's voicemail sounds exactly like Little Kuriboh's Seto Kaiba.
You clearly need Elaine Benes’s dad to yell at you.

On sorta repeat: 'Connect' and 'secret base'.

oh, here it is
It serves no conversational function and imparts no information, save for indicating the opinions and preferences of the speaker.
Meanwhile, a market myth has sprung up around the term, as well as a cultural bogeyman consisting of elusive white 20-somethings who wear certain clothes (but no one will agree on what), listen to certain music (no one can agree on this either), and act a certain way (you've probably sensed the pattern on your own).
You can't define what "that kind of behavior or fashion or lifestyle" actually is, nor will you ever be able to. That's because you don't use "hipster" to describe an actual group of people, but to describe a fictional stereotype that is an outlet for literally anything that annoys you.
The twist, of course, is that if it weren't for your own insecurities, nothing that a "hipster" could do or wear would ever affect you emotionally. But you are insecure about your own authenticity - "Do I wear what I wear because I want to? Do I listen to my music because I truly like it? I'm certainly not like those filthy hipsters!" - so you project those feelings.
Suffice it to say, no one self-identifies as a hipster; the term is always applied to an Other, to separate the authentic Us from the inauthentic, "ironic" Them.
