If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.

Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

Rocky speaks the truth. When you're on a good road, the most beautiful music you can possibly hear is the sound of your supercar engine revving you along at 200km/h.

Apparently, though, the Autobahns are going out of style or something.
And That's Terrible.

But when you're rich, you have the money to make yourself historical reeinactment shit!

And put together an animation/comics/life action film studio!

I'm thinking of reading Homestuck

Though I'm not sure if I should start from the troll intermission or re-read all the acts up until then first.

Read the intermission. It makes things make more sense in Act 5

Read the Sandman instead. Will make you a much better person and will make you appreciate stories a lot more.

I think he's asking if he should start from Act 1 or skip straight to the intermission.

[up][up][up][up] The Sandman is great.

You are talking about the comics by Neil Gaiman, right?

Yuppers. It comes from olden times. It was an acronym. It means Fornication Under the [something with c] of the King.

Protip: Normal people don't use acronyms. Especially not when they just stubbed their toe.

ETA, the word you're looking for is "consent"

Fuck is definitely an old word, but it does not come from an acronym. That's just a bullshit urban legend people like to pass around.

The f-word is rooted in some ancient Indo-European.

INT is knowing a tomato is a fruit. WIS is knowing it doesn't belong in a fruit salad. CHA is convincing people that it does.

-shrug- It's just what you hear when most of the people you hang with have a passing knowledge of English.

RT: I fucking hate Sandman's last issue of the first arc. It's just too much of a drag and I don't like almost any of the characters involved, nor the fact that the DC connections are showing.

Yep, undoubtedly.

It shares pretty close cognates in other Germanic languages, so the word probably came from Proto-Germanic.

[up] Actually, a lot of people believe it's true. Before I developed an interest in etymology I believed in it myself.

Everything is rooted in ancient Indo-European. Except "amok". Those boringly placed people sure were influential!
