If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.

Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

What's hyperpluralism mean? I've only seen in it the context of «we have a lot of lobbyists»

Quick question - I'm working on putting together a Jayne Cobb outfit for an upcoming convention, and I'm stuck between getting the Fighting Elves shirt and the Blue Sun shirt. My main issue is getting the one that goes best with khaki cargo pants, but what do you guys think?

The Fighting Elves one probably matches best, but I haven't watched Firefly so...

Blue sun.

Of course, you're gonna have to watch out for reavers...

It's not exactly naive. And it can happen. But it's tough. And definetly worthwhile.

Hyperpluralism is the idea that the body politic is composed of numerous different groups all of which have numerous interests, and that public policy is the result of numerous compromises, alliances and rivalries between these groups. Each group can apply pressure on the others, but none of them have absolute power. This is generally contrasted with Elitism, which believes that regardless of how society is formally structured, a small group of informal elite will always rise to the top and end up running things.

I think that elitism holds in the short run, and hyperpluralism in the long run.

Huh. Guess I can see that. Elites take charge, then they kerfuffle and break up...

Yeah! Rich people can throw punches at rich people just like anyone else!

But they'd probably prefer finishing this excellent gazpacho soup first.

Because the word bootleg appears in its title, it is easily confused with the Sonmay counterfeit edition of itself, which contains one CD of forty-five tracks, some of which are shorter than on the original.

See, I thought this was funny, but then I tried to pirate a copy.

Why pie?

What drove the first human, that one Greek baker from way back then, to put a filling inside of a crust? Was it because of storage? An attempt to mix two foods into one easy package? Was it just done on a whim, and continued when the taste was pretty good?

you'll then have a grave in the clouds where you won't lie too cramped

^ Methinks it was a prank. Give the pie to someone, and see their surprised face when they realize that the middle of the pie does not taste like the crust looks like.
