Just post whatever comes to mind.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.
If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.
Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

Banned entirely for telling FE that he was being rude and not contributing to the discussion. I shall watch down from the goon heavens.Zichermann is Canadian, actually, apparently.
So I've been thinking that equality is the most important problem in ontology for me. Since the obvious notion of equality, extensional equality, is impossible to verify in finite time.
[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.I can't work up an interest in the depths of philosophy right now. SO MUCH EVERYTHING ELSE.
What's the frequency Kenneth?|In case of war.Yeah. An algorithm to find the extensional equality of two functions would be equivalent to a halter recognizer (e.g., impossible), I'm pretty sure, and the equality of possibly self-referencing structures takes... I should find the big O of this algorithm, actually.
But anyway, a lot of problems hinge on what notion of equality you're using.

[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.I know, two-year-old comment, but with the exception of that last one I don't see what's so wrong/screwed up about the other stuff
.
Can anyone please explain to me what wisdom of the world Kodomo No Jikan contains that I can't find through reading actual primary sources from historical thinkers? Is there a reason the lolicon needs to exist, or is the so-called "deeply philosophical and psychological" stuff an excuse?
And people wonder why no one takes the anime fandom seriously.

Mostly I wonder why people aren't allowed to take entertainment seriously.
"I can't imagine what Hell will have in store, but I know when I'm there, I won't wander anymore."Our gripe is more about fandom posturing than people taking works seriously. No one is stopping you from enjoy anything the way you want it to, but when you describe a work of fiction in humanities labels when its aim is popular consumption, chances are you've never actually taken a humanities course in your life.

Ugh, I should always include requests for receival confirmations in my emails. Waiting for an answer is always bad enough, but even worse when you don't even know if the person in question has in fact received and read the email...
