If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.

Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

...Forget I asked.

A little under 150 words to go on this essay. Then I'll have exorcised the demons of last semester.

Father Charlatan.

It's not exactly naive. And it can happen. But it's tough. And definetly worthwhile.

If one has a "waking life", do they also have a "sleeping life"?

Is Tv Tropes being difficult today, or is it just me?

I mean, do I have to smack the servers?

Do it, if you're Fonzie, that is.

I have to hold a used-book sale today. It's not that bad, but it's annoying.

Oh, well, could've been worse. (Seriously, I had to change computers to keep posting, the fuck?)

We have a few good books, but it's mostly old romance novels and children's books that people wanted to give away.

So I have a question about Godwin's law.

can you explain it without bringing up Nazis or Hitler?

Can you explain Godwin's law, without Godwin's law coming into effect?

No. Because GL is about the Nazis.

I thought GL was just about saying X is bad because a bad person did it. So "Communism is bad because Stalin was a communist" is also GL.

Counterclock Since: Feb, 2013
#62250: Mar 22nd 2011 at 10:20:58 AM

That's what I'm saying Juan.

GL is self-perpetuating. you can't explain it, without letting it grow in a festering mass of anger and overdue car payments.

And honestly, there's plenty of other genocidal dictators to make cheap-shot comparisons too.
