Just post whatever comes to mind.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.
If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.
Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

I feel very conflicted. A very Christian friend of mine and his family are socially conservative, but they voted Democrat.
We get along excellently. We decided early on to keep it either civil or turned off about politics.
What are they doing right that so many other demented fuckwits are doing wrong?
I hate having to place my loyalties individually.

Nothing burns out like politics.
I remember my nutter phase. So recently, and so massively different.
What's the frequency Kenneth?|In case of war. When in doubt, centrism.
So far as I'm concerned, everybody's a centrist leaning one way or the other. Calling yourself a centrist is also liberating because if you're, say, leaning liberal, you're free to have some conservative views.

Banned entirely for telling FE that he was being rude and not contributing to the discussion. I shall watch down from the goon heavens.Centrism's weird.
Not necessarily bad, but it is weird.
That doesn't make any sense. :|

I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....Oxford American English Dictionary defines it as having moderate political views.
I see it as an excuse to have both liberal and conservative views, which is what I use the name for.
Erm, let me put it in bullet points, because I'm slowly loosing the ability to articulate my thoughts in paragraph form:
- Liberal: Must have liberal opinions.
- Conservative: Must have conservative opinions.
- Centrists: Can have both liberal and conservative opinions.

My heart is filled with sadness now.

I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.Anne: what?
I don't see why you can't be Liberal and have a few Conservative opinions. Or vice versa. Or be Centrist and have some Liberal opinions. Or be Conservative and have some Centrist opinions, or....yeah, you get the idea.
Centrist isn't "a bit of both" it's just "in the middle".
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....Me three!
A bit of both and in the middle, in this case, appear to be the same thing.
Hold on, are you saying that centrists are neutral on topics instead of having opinions on them?
Because take abortion for example. You're either for it or against it. And then you can be neutral about it. Is being neutral to abortion a centrist opinion?
