Just post whatever comes to mind.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.

Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

@ Xtense: Thanks
Unfortunately, since writing a hand-crafted scenario for each month will be both time-consuming and somewhat bland, I am turning the second build into a Grand Strategy/VN hybrid.
You do make a lot of choices per month, with a random event generator that may trigger at the beginning of each, and several scripted events (the last meeting with Bohdan Khmelnytsky in April 1647, which depending on your decision and current Relationship Values may or may not lead to the Khmelnytsky Uprising, and the Second Northern War if Swedish relation is too low at a certain year.)
However, that would be a distant dream. I'd be fortunate to release a build that works flawlessly until June 47.
@ Kinkajou: And we have Jan III Sobieski to thank for that

Support Taleworlds!At 1647? Yes.
A main plot point is that your character (selectable out of three personalities) is brought back from the present to the past by someone who calls himself 'Michal', and "possess" Wlad's body in January 1647. Hilarity will ensue if the main character you choose happens to be a Japanese schoolgirl.

Support Taleworlds!Granted, the default character is a renowned history professor who knows what he is doing, and I intend not to write the girl's route until at least this is done.
Owing to the scope of this project, I may need much more help than I currently have. Care to lend a hand, anyone?

Support Taleworlds! As fun as this sounds, I don't know enough European history. In other words I'd lend a hand, but I'd be stumped.
But soft! What rock through yonder window breaks? It is a brick! And Juliet is out cold. One of those little things in life that is really starting to bug me: When someone expresses a need for a particular material thing in a Facebook status, and people who have that thing respond but end their comment with "...but I'm not in [place where person is]" Right. Ok. Real helpful there. So you're showing your support maybe, that's nice, but it really doesn't accomplish anything except take up more space and possibly make the original person annoyed that you're not there to help them out.
Argh!

But soft! What rock through yonder window breaks? It is a brick! And Juliet is out cold.It does, thank goodness.
It had a massive one because I was zoomed in.
I figured out what must have happened. I must have leaned on my touchpad. It has a zoom function. I normally switch it off.

Support Taleworlds!

Ran through your test build a bit. Other than a bit of snark here and there (mostly related to the romanticized vision of that period, but eh, cultural bias ;) ), it shapes up to be a sweet game. I think a Visual Novel style is pretty appropriate for this style instead of a big Grand Strategy game, since its more about choices than actual management. Keep up the good work!
