If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.

Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

Two pages ago, Anony mentioned wanting Blues Clues on DVD.

As a matter of fact, it is on DVD—the early seasons at the very least, but I think there's more. And a few days ago, my sister sat me down and bodily forced me to watch some with her on Netflix.

Well, you could volunteer to be obligated (you choose to have to do something) as opposed to regular obligation (somebody else makes you have to do something).

Okay, that's possible. Doesn't really work in the context though  *

Well, might work actually, I don't know how that regulation works exactly. The phrasing just sounded a bit weird...

If you have read one of Gould's books, you are not to blame; but you must now do your best to un-believe it all - especially all the implied beliefs in evolutionary biology that Gould seemed to be attacking.

Really that article doesn't seem to have much to do with rationalism anyway.

I need to store words of five six-bit bytes and one-bit sigh each, for a total of 31 bits. I could use a struct with six eight-bit fields (48 bits total) to make it easier on me, or pack them into my architecture's standard 32-bit words. The former wastes 17 bits per word, while the former wastes 1 bit per word. The virtual memory is composed of 4000 words. 4000*17 - 4000*1 = 64000 more bits, or 8000 bytes, or 8 KB more wasted. But is it worth the SAN rolls?

Tzetze: I'd do it the second way and use some predefined macros or sommat to make extracting separate digits easier. Memory may be cheap these days, but bit shifts are fast.

James Franco is supposed to be directing an adaptation of Blood Meridian?

He better turn out to be a good director, because this is going to be a colossal failure if he isn't.
