If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.

Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

I wish there were a word to describe things that are of unusually great size or extent, or otherwise majestic or impressively great.

I'm kinda scared, since I just found out that Imagination Movers porn exists. I know, I know, Rule 34, I shouldn't be shocked but...DAMN

Naughty Dog code everything in Lisp?

...that's a surprise, but their game engines are always really good.

No, but they did code Jak And Daxter in Lisp  *

. I don't know what they use(d) for other games.

There are so many threads on this forum, especially in the music and literature sections, in in the recommendations thread here in Yack Fest, in which I could endlessly recommend my favorite series that have so few fans here, my cousin's band that seems to be remarkably famous yet still so unknown even among us far-from-mainstream tropers...but I don't have the energy, and no one ever listened...for God's sake, if these threads moved fast enough, I could make the same post once a month and still nobody would notice, most likely. There's so much here about works I've never heard of, but I feel hopeless on the subject of

I don't even know how I was going to end that sentence. I'm tired. My eyes hurt. I want to go home and sleep.

The abbreviation for It Just Awes Me is IJAM. As in "I Jam". I don't know why I find that kind of amusing.

[up][up][up]

The McLovins. Unless you're from Connecticut or like jam bands (or maybe through some extraordinary other circumstances) you wouldn't have heard of them.

They're worth knowing about not just because he's my first cousin and essentially my unofficial younger brother, but because they're all teenagers, they're unequivocally good for their age (really, it's not just me saying that because I'm biased), and because their rise to minor fame was entirely unintentional and a product of the weird world of the internet: They weren't named the McLovins when they formed, they never expected to have a fanbase or release albums. One Youtube video shaped their fate, but it most likely has been the coolest thing to happen to any of them so far in their lives.

My cousin, the guitarist, gets the most attention from the fans, but he's also the youngest (16), the one that I am most sure is not involved in drugs (can't speak for the other two...not like I necessarily mean anything more than pot), and the one that won't be pursuing a music education in college and staking his life and livelihood on music, meaning that when he has to go to college in a few years, the band will break up.

Listening to them now. They're not really my kind of music, but they're fun.

Also, a band can stay together even if not all the members live anywhere near each other. Examples of such bands: An Endless Sporadic and Circle Takes the Square. They rarely put out new albums, but they still do so.

I doubt it. We could do with a week or two without him, though.

We could. =S We definitely could.

He usually has something of a presence on the forum, that is, lots of posting in the animu/mango section, and I was wondering why it had died down.

[up][up][up]That was nice of you to listen, you didn't have to! smile They're not a lot of people's kind of music, including my mom. Part of the reason I hesitate to promote them too much is because jam rock is a bit of a narrow niche.

I like quite a bit of music, so I'm pretty much always willing to try something new.

And actually, since I've listened to more, I've started liking them more and more.
