This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here
.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here
.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here
.
- The Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard tropes aren't currently adding or removing examples. Wick changes and other minor corrections to the locked trope pages can be made via this thread, but more significant changes will be declined.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

Berserk Button: misusing Nightmare Fuel
The Broken Base cleanup thread
came to the conclusion that almost everything on BrokenBase.Death Battle is misuse. Only three examples were deemed acceptable, so the page should be cut and these should be added to YMMV.Death Battle, which is locked:
- Broken Base:
- Goku vs. Superman is known to be the most debated Hypothetical Fight Debate of all time, so obviously Death Battle claiming to have put the question to rest was bound to cause massive controversy:
- On Dragon Ball's side, fans were angry over the treatment of Goku, saying that his power and feats weren't accurately represented and that Death Battle sold him short. The fact that the second round came out during the very beginning of Dragon Ball Super gave birth to the argument that Goku was going to become even more powerful anyway, necessitating a third round. Further angering fans was Death Battle's hammering in of the fact that no matter how many new forms Goku got or how many limits he broke, he would never win against Superman, which these fans felt to be markedly untrue. These fans pointed out that several characters in the DC canon have proven to be stronger than Supes (Doomsday, Shazam!, Darkseid, etc.) and that the Ultimate Guide to Superman stated that Superman had, has and will have limits and many of Superman's supposed feats were either being taken out of context or were fake.
- On Superman's side, fans pointed out that Death Battle's interpretation of Superman is that he has no limits and that someone who is limitless can easily take out somebody with limits, no matter how strong they are. To prove this point, they have pointed out the feats Superman has pulled that prove he is limitless (lifting a book with infinite pages, sneezing away a solar system, etc.) Comic fans have added that all interpretations of those feats made by anime fans solely to debunk Death Battle don't understand the text, and that only reasonable reading of those feats would necessitate them as working exactly like Death Battle gave for them to make any sense in what the authors were trying to say.

- Ben 10 vs. Green Lantern managed to rival Goku vs. Superman in terms of how controversial it was. The problems the Ben 10 fanbase brings up are that Ben didn't show enough versatility and aliens that may have made a difference are left out. Of the six aliens in the fight, three contribute nothing to the overall fight and five are from the Original Series. However, another side of the argument counters that the only alien that would have made a difference was Alien X and as such it did not matter what aliens were used in the fight (especially considering the "fight does not determine the outcome". However, the biggest point of contention is Alien X's power, which isn't helped by the form's lack of demonstrated limits in the show. One side claims "Alien X can do anything" as stated by multiple characters in the show and the form should've been treated as such. However, this is rebuked by the fact that the creators of the show seemingly not having any consistent idea as to what a Celestialsapien's level of power actually is, ranging from multiverse level to universe to unable to survive the destruction of a timeline without help. The characters in question not having enough experience with Celestialsapiens to determine whether the "can do anything" statements are to be taken literally or as hyperbole as well as the fact that Hal has fought beings that have demonstrated greater feats than Alien X has (i.e. Mandrakk and the Anti-Monitor) to which the Ben 10 side of the argument argues that Hal needed help in his fights against higher beings. The argument ultimately boils down to how lenient you want to be with the characters' statements and feats. Alien X's one universe creation feat and multiple "can do anything" statements vs. Hal's scaling to other Green Lanterns and greater dimensional threats like Mandrakk.
- Wiz and Boomstick becoming animated characters either spices up the final parts of the episode or just leaves to some ugly and unecessary animation, especially after a resdesign in season 7.
- Goku vs. Superman is known to be the most debated Hypothetical Fight Debate of all time, so obviously Death Battle claiming to have put the question to rest was bound to cause massive controversy:
DEATH BATTLE! (YMMV page): Add one more entry for Crosses the Line Twice:
- Goro vs. Machamp has the finishing blow. Goro getting punched so hard by Machamp that he explodes into Ludicrous Gibs? Gruesome. Goro's gibs flying off into orbit? Hilarious.

...ehehThere is a 2005 McDonalds web ad with Accidental Innuendo that was previously listed on Horrible.Advertising, but was found on the cleanup thread to be more along the lines of SoBadItsGood.Advertising. I removed the example from Horrible, but the So Bad, It's Good subpage is locked. Here's my So Bad, It's Good writeup.
- McDonald's should have thought twice in 2005. "Double Cheeseburger? I'd hit it. I'm a dollar menu guy
◊."
Did the YMMV.Death Battle, although it needs better use of spoiler tags.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe Griefer page, linking a sentence in the section where it talks about vigilante griefers.
Specifically, link the wordage "'cheap' technique" to the page for Cheese Strategy.
The powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse.on Crossovers for the writeup for "I Have No Wings and I Must Scream" to "I have no wings and I must fly" as that's the correct title for the fic.
Double Standard: Rape, Female on Male (well, not quite rape in the example):

, after Adrien accuses Lila of sexual harassment, Kim keeps saying that it's impossible for a guy to be molested, and can't understand how Adrien can be unhappy about all the girls surrounding him. He reviews his position and apologises at once right after Alix pinches his butt to demonstrate.

At Fan Works, for Live-Action Film, for James Bond, please change fanfics to Script Fics, and change Serrafimo to Sprang.
And then please copy it to Other Media, at the end of the Fan Scripts section.
Please also copy the MCU fan script to the very end of fan scripts, after changing fanfic to Script Fic.

Please rename The Story to End All Stories. It was the first page I created here and I didn't understand that the correct namespace was "Fanfic".
~Larry Mullen: Actually, this thread
deals with capitalization fixes to namespaces.
^^Imma ask my colleagues.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThere's been a discussion (starting here
) in TRS about certain laconic pages that are locked due to using the old color markup. But several of them can use the modern color markup and be unlocked. All of these will work, as you can see on Wiki Sandbox.
