This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

Could Two Lines Different Times (which I recently launched) be renamed/redirected to Flashback B-Plot? (See my reasoning here)

Also actioned the Monster.Table Top Games edit request; seemed like a minor rewording that does not require a full discussion.
I got a new image on Troper Demographics from the admins, which I've sent to Image Pickin'.
Other two requests above still pending.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanOn Monster.Literature D To G, the entry for The Divine Comedy misspells "Lucifer" as "Luficer".
Since ImageLinks.Shock Site is now blueshifted, remove it from the PRLC and add this to Locked Pages.
- ImageLinks.Shock Site: An imageless joke page. An earlier version of it got cut after someone linked an actual shock site. Locked so it doesn't happen again.
I think there was a bit of miscommunication during the last edit on MagnificentBastard.Marvel Animation. It seems the entry for the 90s!Doctor Doom was moved under The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes tree, when we were trying to put a new entry for that show's version of the character.
Just to clarify, this entry goes under the "Marvel Animated Universe" banner, above Spider-Man: The Animated Series header:
- Doctor Victor Von Doom is the ruler of Latveria and a master of both science and the mystic arts. After losing his parents under a tyrannical regime and being disfigured in a horrific lab accident, Doom declared he would bring peace to the world under his iron fist. He feuded with the Fantastic Four on numerous occasions and was the one who destroyed their headquarters at the Baxter Building. Doom has twice stolen the powers of the Silver Surfer and tricked the Hulk into nearly killing the Thing. When the UN ordered him to be tried for war crimes, Doom trapped Washington D.C. under a force field and forced the Hulk to destroy the entire capital. Doom was the most successful villain during the Secret Wars and transformed the territories he conquered into utopias free from conflict or strive. Managing to even steal the powers of the almighty Beyonder, Doctor Doom has proven he has one of the most cunning and audacious minds in the Marvel Animated Universe.
This entry goes at the bottom of the Earth's Mightiest Heroes tree, right below Queen Veranke:
- Doctor Doom is the tyrannical ruler of Latveria and the Arch-Enemy of the Fantastic Four. Upon learning that the Skrulls were infiltrating humanity, Doom went to work to find a way to detect and expose the alien threat to his rule. To get the data he needed, Doom sent an army of Doombots to kidnap the Wasp and the Invisible Woman, whom he suspected of being Skrull agents. His Doombots attacked both the Baxter Building and Avengers Mansion to distract both teams while his targets were brought back to Latveria. When the two teams launched an assault on his castle, Doom effortlessly held his own in the fight and defeated all the heroes without breaking a sweat. After getting the data he needed from the Skrull who replaced Invisible Woman, Doom developed a computer chip that would reveal the Skrulls' true forms. He then delivered the chip to Tony Stark so he could stop the invasion; all while claiming such a task was beneath him. Proving instrumental in stopping the Skrull invasion, Doctor Doom's skills and intellect were more than a match for the Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
Sorry for the mix-up.

My page on CN Real is ready. Create Creator.CN Real using the material at Sandbox.CN Real, and lock the former page.
As a result of this, move the Main.CN Real entry on the Permanent Red Link Club to the "Former Locations of locked pages" folder, and change its description to:
- Main.CN Real: Was originally about the programming block, but became a major complaint magnet for those who disapproved of Cartoon Networkโs Network Decay. The complaining was so severe, even after the block ended, that it was cut and blacklisted from the wiki. It was much later recreated at Creator.CN Real, long after CN had abandoned live action series.
And add Creator.CN Real to Locked Pages:
- Creator.CN Real: A page about Cartoon Network's live action programming block, seen by many as the zenith of its Network Decay. The previous iteration of the page on Main.CN Real, back when the block was live, was filled with so much complaining and work bashing that it was sent to the Permanent Red Link Club, and stayed there for nearly a decade. The page is still locked to stop it from suffering the same fate as its predecessor.

Please redirect Hostile Xenoforming to Hostile Terraforming; "xenoforming" (which is actually namedropped in the trope's description) is the proper term for having the ecosphere of Earth or an Earth-like planet altered to a radically different configuration, i.e. effectively the inverse of the traditional definition of terraforming (converting a planet other than Earth's ecosphere to an Earth-like configuration).

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanConsidering the CN Real page is going to stay locked for the foreseeable future, please remove the commented out warning at the top of the page; it's unneeded since no one can even see it.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99ยขPlease add foldercontrol to G.I. Joe.
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsCan the following be added to Fifty Shades of Grey:
- Distracted by the Sexy: POV character, Anastasia Steele spends a good chunk (if not the all) of the book talking about what a handsome sex god Christian is and every time he does something reprehensible, like putting a tracker on her phone (before they started dating), selling her old, but cherished car without her permission and buying her a new one, and stalking her across the country when she went to visit her mother in Georgia, Ana fawns over his looks and forgets why she was ever upset with him.
- Dramatic Reading:
- Gilbert Gottfried reads Fifty Shades of Grey.
- A drunken YouTuber reads it too.
- Watch George Takei do it, too. Oh my!
- Epunymous Title: Fifty Shades of Grey is named after the male lead Christian Grey, but it's also a reference to his mysterious life and personality (as in, "different shades") that Ana Steele is quick to uncover.
- Female Misogynist: Ana hates more or less all women, as she suspects them of planning to steal her man. She acts as if her one friend, Kate, who is very kind to her, is a nuisance for being concerned about her relationship with the abusive Mr. Grey.
- First-Episode Twist: In Fifty Shades of Grey, Christian Grey is revealed after a hundred pages as secretly practicing BDSM and wants Anna as his sub. This is the first book of a trilogy.
- Fourth-Date Marriage: The entire trilogy takes place over a four and a half month span. As seen on the Book Timeline, Anna meets Christian Grey on May 9, accepts his proposal one month later on June 17 (with a five days break up in between), and they get married at the end of July.
- Has a Type: Christian Grey has a type: shortish, dark-haired young women with light eyes. Apparently they remind him of his late mother. Ana fits this profile perfectly. This isn't a question of interpretation, either. Grey tells Ana this outright in Fifty Shades Darker:
"...I like to whip little brown-haired girls like you because you all look like the crack whore-my birth mother. I'm sure you can guess why."
- I Can Change My Beloved: Anastasia has instances where she's thinking that, if she has a 'regular' relationship with Christian, he will eventually denounce his BDSM ways and want nothing more than 'vanilla sex', as he called it.
- I Kiss Your Foot: There were scenes of Christian caressing and kissing Anastasia's feet, particularly during their first time of having sex. This is just more of arousing Anastasia rather than submitting to her since Christian is the dominant. However, there's that one time that Anastasia wanting to lick Christian's feet which is a straight example.
- Irrational Hatred: Christian loathes his birth mother, blaming all of his delinquent behavior and present-day issues on the fact that she was a "crack whore" (his nickname for her) who was unable to protect him from her pimp and who didn't feed him properly. That level of resentment seems pretty harsh when memories and flashbacks show that his mother was unable to even protect herself from being beaten by the pimp, that she loved her son enough to bake a birthday cake for him, and, based on Christian's focus on having submissives within their late teens to early twenties because they remind him of his mother, that she was in her teens herself when she gave birth and had to raise a child on her own, in terrible conditions. It also comes across as harsh, given that Christian doesn't direct anywhere near that level of hatred towards the pimp himself, who was the one who actually did hurt Christian.
- It's All About Me: Christian Grey. He's a very selfish lover, particularly to his subs, and only cares about his own pleasure, often ignoring discomfort about certain aspects during 'scenes'. Even things that he seems to do for the sake of other people, like sending food supplies to Darfur, is all done because he used to go hungry as a toddler. He is the one in control of his life, and of those closely associated with him, including his subs and eventual wife, Anastasia Steele. His pleasure, his job, his personal life, is what he focuses on first and foremost.
On MagnificentBastard.Film, on the The Taking of Pelham One Two Three example, please replace Dead Man Switch with Dead Man's Switch.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.On Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Messiah, can you please move the Unexpected Character entry over to the YMMV page?
Done to here, except the I Kiss Your Foot example. ~Anddrix, feels like that example could be written better, seeing it spends more time about something that isn't an example, than the actual example. If the first part is Playing with a Trope, try to make it clearer. And separate them into two bullets.

CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsI would like to recommend the following edit to the article Donald Trump in which the item
"On January 20, 2017, Trump was formally inaugurated as President of the United States."
Be changed to read
"On January 20, 2017, Trump was formally inaugurated as President of the United States. He became the fifth president to be elected with a majority of the Electoral College vote, but lost the popular vote."
I think this factual note would improve the article. Alternatively, the change could read
"On January 20, 2017, Trump was formally inaugurated as President of the United States. His election had a bi of controversy, as he became the fifth president to be elected with a majority of the Electoral College vote, but lost the popular vote to Clinton."
Or the item could be added to the prior paragraph of the article.
Thank you.

Move Fanfic. The Misfits to Main. The Misfits, so I can turn it into a redirect between the Fanfics, Film, Music, etc?
Or should I write up the Main here and turn Fanfic into a redirect later??
Ehh...
* The [[Film/TheMisfits film]].
* The [[Music/TheMisfits band]].
* The fanfics:
** The [[Fanfic/TheMisfitsWalker one by Jack Walker]].
** The [[Fanfic/TheMisfitsWarhammer40000 one about Warhammer40000]].
** The [[Fanfic/TheMisfitsSeries series of fanfiction crossovers between ''X-Men: Evolution'' and ''G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero'']].
If a direct wick has led you here, please correct the link so that it points to the corresponding article.
