This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

The notifiers, I believe, are already known by the admins. But I'll ping ~Fighteer since he knows better the list of open bugs.
But, yes, besides that issue, we can adjust the notifiers' text (or add new ones).
~Dirtyblue929, why don't you take it to IP? To be honest, I'm not 100% on the nuances of image policy as it's never been my wheelhouse, but I don't think it'll hit any issues.
~Brainulator9, I can't do anything about the redlinks not showing as redlinks. Hopefully the bug report will get addressed soon.
~WarJay77, I see in that wishlist thread there's mention of wanting a "recent" notifier. Am I understanding correctly that you want a notifier that tells people to not use dating language, like "This was recently on display..."? If so, then the notifier "not recent" is already in place.
The {Article} edit you made improperly uses "recent" or other time-relative language. Examples should be time-neutral because they could be read years from now. Please refer to our Examples Are Not Recent policy for more information.

Yeah, I realized that after making the wishlist query, which is why I omitted it from my first post here.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessThanks, wasn't sure about policy for images on locked pages, especially when the image in question is a placeholder.

And we do have a wiki-word notice (though I concede the title isn't intuitive): work title.
The {Article} edit you made isn't linking to the work page properly. Work names in trope examples should be links (written in CamelCase or between and for single-word links), in italics (created by surrounding the link text with and (two single apostrophes), except for short stories, where they should be between " and " (one double quote)) and with a namespace before the link (like Work Title). If you have trouble, just consult the Text-Formatting Rules or Ask The Tropers.
General example seems like a reasonable notifier to have, so I've added it.
Neat, just wanted to make sure.
Cool, didn't realize "work title" covered trope links as well, and thanks for adding General Examples.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessCould the notifiers be sorted alphabetically? I'm always tripped up by the ZCE notifier not being at the end, and having them sorted that way just makes it seem more organized.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Please replace Whip It Good with A Taste of the Lash at the following:
- Anime & Manga: G to N: Lazlo
- Disney: George Willikers
- Film A To C: Blood Feast (and make it "kills young women")
- Film H To L: Madame Viera from House of 1,000 Dolls)
- Film M To R: Cabiria (Maciste) and Ninja Assassin
- Literature: A to C: Laveda from Beware!
- Literature R to Z: Cree Bega (Shannara)
- Tales Series: Tales of Hearts
They are ordered by creation date, and we don't have a tool to re-order them manually, so unfortunately the only way to do that would be to delete all of them and re-create them in alphabetical order.
done.

CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsQuestion: I know we don't have plurals redirect to a singular, but what about the reverse? I.E. Could Human Trafficker redirect to Human Traffickers? (Though honestly, Human Trafficking should be the main one IMO.)
Edited by ACW on Aug 26th 2019 at 1:01:13 PM
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsThere's no need. You can just do s.
Please cut Legion from Live Action TVA To L.
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsRequesting this addition to the YMMV page for The Rise of Skywalker, under HSQ.
- From the D23 footage: Dark Rey, wielding a double-bladed red lightsaber.
I would like to request this addition to the Memetic Mutation section of YMMV.The Rise Of Skywalker (presented in nullifying brackets for ease of insertion):
- Dark ReyThe D23 teaser closes on a black-clad Rey wielding a double-bladed red lightsaber, looking villainous. Once said footage was posted online, people immediately hit upon this, speculating about what the context could be.
- Red-eyed C-3POAlso from the D23 teaser was a shot of the famous protocol droid with red eyes, looking decidedly sinister. This was also seized upon by the fanbase, who began speculating about whether Threepio had turned evil, had a "battle mode" activated, or was high, among other theories.

do you hear the drums?People speculating about trailers isn't exactly a "meme."
Calling C3PO high could certainly be a meme.

On the Locked Pages page itself, please combine the entries for Pokémon Sword and Shield and Pokémon: Generation VIII Families into a single entry, using the former's explanation. The latter page is essentially a character subpage at the moment, and is getting the same trouble as the work page.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Since my other notifier idea went through here, it can't help to pitch my other idea here. I just think it'd be helpful if a notifier was automatically sent to every new account with links to pages like Text-Formatting Rules and Zero-Context Example. This will encourage new tropers to learn the rules right away, they can respond if they have questions, and those that break the rules anyway can't claim ignorance. I just think it'd be helpful, and while I'm sure it'd be harder to impliment than a single new notifier, it might be something worth looking into is all.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure Pureness
Would it be possible to fix up the notifications? We could use notifiers for general examples, and not using Wiki Words, and there's a "Stub in Main" notifier that has no use anymore.
I made a wishlist query here and was told to ask at this thread.
On a similar note, a lot of notifiers have broken links, as explained here.
