This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here
.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here
.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here
.
- The Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard tropes aren't currently adding or removing examples. Wick changes and other minor corrections to the locked trope pages can be made via this thread, but more significant changes will be declined.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

I request that the fanfiction recommendation's Page for The Amazing World of Gumball gets unlocked again.
Page in Question: The Amazing World of Gumball
It was locked for a reason unknown to me some time ago and I would like to add some Fanfictions I have read recently.
Roger wilco. I'll just add that to the Pages In Accidentally Miscapitalised Namespaces instructions. This restriction only applies to pages in Main/, right?
Edited by NoriMori on Jul 24th 2018 at 5:51:03 AM
Ah, got it. Changing the instructions accordingly.
Wish I'd known this before I processed a bunch of pages over the past few days, including one that I know is old (Portal 2). :(
Oh well, at least everyone else will know now.
This is the instruction I've added:
"NOTE: The moderators are looking for another way to fix namespace and title capitalization, so as to avoid losing edit history. Please only add pages that have fewer than 300 inbounds and were created in 2017 or later. If you see a page on the following list that does not meet both of these criteria, kindly remove it."
Is this okay? Or does it only need to meet one of the criteria?
Edited by NoriMori on Jul 24th 2018 at 6:34:44 AM
~papryu30, it's been added. To see what formatting is used, click on More in the header and then Page Source. You can see all the formatting in the edit window without actually editing.
~NoriMori, sorry, it's something we probably should have addressed more proactively. And/or is fine for the note.

Should the Analysis Magic: The Gathering page be locked? It's currently locked for some reason.

Disgusted, but not surprisedPlease remove the note for Chinatown at Film A To C.
Also, please have 24 redirect to Live-Action TV, remove it from Live-Action TV for works with their own pages, and add the following to Live Action TVA To L:
- 24: Jack Bauer has faced numerous terrorists and other enemies. These are the worst:
- Nina Myers, from the first 3 seasons, is a self-serving terrorist driven solely by her greed. After infiltrating CTU, Nina gave the Drazen family information that helped them conduct multiple assassination attempts against Senator David Palmer, and also nearly got Jack's family killed. Once Nina is compromised, she tries to flee the country, killing a few CTU agents and Jack's wife, Teri, in the process. Years after Teri's murder, Nina's schemes continued, as she helped a terrorist cell smuggle a nuclear bomb into the United States; attempted to buy a bio-weapon so she could sell it to one of her employers; tricked Jack into launching a computer virus into CTU that nearly crashed all of their servers; murdered countless innocents who stood in her way; and nearly killed Jack's daughter, Kim. Even after she's finally subdued by Jack in season 3, Nina tries to convince him that she still has valuable information, when all she was trying to do was buy herself more time so she could grab her weapon and kill Jack.
- Abu Fayed, from season 6, stands out as having one of the highest body counts on the show. He is responsible for orchestrating dozens of suicide bombings across America, as well as torturing Jack Bauer and selling out his former partner, Hamri Al-Assad, after Assad betrayed him and his cause. After Fayed convinces the government to release one hundred prisoners, Fayed uses one of the prisoners to arm a nuclear bomb, which is later detonated, killing at least 12,000 civilians in the Los Angeles area. He later captures and tortures Morris O'Brian with a drill until Morris breaks and creates a triggering device for the nukes, one of which Fayed activates. With the help of Dmitri Gredenko, he conspires to set off the remaining nukes across America. After his plans fail and Fayed is captured, Fayed escapes and attempts to set off the final two nukes in downtown Los Angeles.
- Phillip Bauer, Jack's father, first appearing in season 6, is the true mastermind behind the conspiracy in season 5. Allied with his son, Graem, Phillip conspired to have President David Palmer assassinated, and his death led to dozens of other innocents being killed and nearly began World War III. After the aforementioned Abu Fayed sets off a nuclear bomb and Phillip's company is implicated, Phillip is more concerned about covering up his own mess as opposed to stopping Fayed and securing the nukes. When Graem reveals to Jack that he was involved in Palmer's assassination, Phillip murders him, and later kidnaps his grandson and tries to kill Jack. Later on, after Phillip is exposed, he teams up with Cheng Zhi, assisting Cheng in sending mercenaries to attack CTU, kidnapping his grandson again, and smuggling Russian technology into China, not caring that it'll inevitably start a war. While Phillip acts as though he cares about his country, he's really just a sociopath who will do anything to preserve his "legacy", even if it means murdering members of his family.
- General Benjamin Juma, from the film Redemption and season 7, is ruler of the fictional African nation Sangala. Prior to the events of Redemption, Juma engineered a coup that placed him in a position to kill thousands of Sangalans in a brutal genocide. When deposed, Juma was contacted by an American conspiracy, which offered to return Juma to power in return for being allowed to use Sangalans to develop bio-weapons. Juma had the weapons tested on a civilian village, which he then had firebombed to conceal the evidence. When preparing to launch a vicious assault on Sangala's capital, Juma conscripted child soldiers and had them brainwashed. In season 7, Juma sends his right-hand man Colonel Iké Dubaku to the US for a series of terrorist attacks and murders and then has Dubaku killed when he is captured, to make sure Dubaku won't reveal anything. Juma personally leads a paramilitary strike that captures the White House where he takes and kills hostages to show how serious he is. When he realizes his plans are foiled, Juma orders the hostages murdered and attempts to get to the President to murder her himself.
- Cheng Zhi is one of Jack's biggest enemies. Originally the head of security of the Chinese consulate in season 4, Cheng subjected Jack to horrible torture after capturing him at the end of season 5. Originally a loyal soldier for China, Cheng began to think only of himself and his own advancement. Cheng subjected Jack's former girlfriend Audrey Raines to a near-lobotomy in season 6, which left her damaged for a long time after. After being thought dead, Cheng resurfaces in Live Another Day, having been the one responsible for Margot Al-Harazi getting the override key for attack drones. Manipulating events—and eventually having Audrey killed—Cheng tried to launch a nuclear missile to begin World War III between China and America where millions would die out of petty vengeance for China abandoning him for his criminal actions.

Requesting that Fungal Abomination be redirected to Botanical Abomination, since fungi are separate from plants but are still included in the trope due to common conflation together.
Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite.Done to here. ~ACW, I am wondering whether the exampleless high level pages like Monster.Live Action TV need to be locked if all they do is to list other example subpages.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAt Monster.Final Fantasy, could you please remove the pointless boldface on "Ultimate Summon" in Fuhito's entry?

Can you put this entry in the Western Animation section of the Kennedese section of the Boston section of the American Accents page?
- JFK on Clone High, being a clone of John F. Kennedy, speaks with a very exaggerated version of this accent. One episode was about him trying to teach the clone of Mahatma Gandhi to act and talk like him.
JFK: (pulls down screen) Read this.Gandhi: "For supper I want a party platter."JFK: No no no, like this: "Fowah suppah I-er-uh wanna party plattah!"
And put a link to Boston somewhere in that section's description, please.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Requesting that The Corruptor be redirected to The Corrupter since that's an alternate spelling.
Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite. Please change in the Evil Is Cool entry. Final Boos to Final Boss as that is misspelled.
- Also in Super Sentai, please change in the Hurricaneger entry for Sandaaru. Change this part from :
Sandaru even
to
Sandaaru even
As his name is misspelled there.

"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."* The [[ComicBook/RatMan comic book]].
* The [[Manga/RatMan manga]].
* The RatMen trope, for humanoid rodents.
If a direct wick has led you here, please correct the link so that it points to the corresponding article.

Was The New '10s intentionally locked?
I know it's been the target of some controversial edits in the past, but I'm not seeing it on the "Locked Pages" list.

Arabia Takes Over The World as a redirect to Eurabia, to match the other Take Over the World tropes.
