This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

Can we temporarily lock Avengers: Infinity War? It's arguably the most anticipated movie since The Force Awakens (which was locked the weekend it came out to avoid early-bird spoilers) and already its page is having spoilers added (almost certainly from that damn Forbes article).
Unless there's a documented issues with the edits, then there's no need for a lock. DTH otherwise.
I've tried not to look too closely at the edits themselves, given that I still plan on seeing the movie, but I think the fact that the movie hasn't even been released yet should be more than enough reason to lock the page (and its subpages) for at least a few days and stop the flow of spoilers. I started a thread on the movie's discussion page, and I've gotten a fair number of responses in favor of locking it.
Suggesting Concrete Poetry and Figurative Verse as redirects for for ASCII Art.

Link to TRS threads in project mode here. Please remove the Yumekui Merry from Anime And Manga K To Z and add it to Anime And Manga A To J as follows:
- Dream Eater Merry: The anime-exclusive character, Mystleteinn/Mistleteinn/Mistilteinn Treesea, is a vicious Dream Demon who tortures and eats others of her kind. Joining forces with Ryota Ijima, the duo plan to ruin the dreams of others, Treesea happily implanting Dream Demons on innocent students, resulting in them becoming utterly emotionless and apathetic towards the future of their own lives. Confronted by Merry in Isana's dream, Treesea taunts her and tries to kill her own Dream Demon she attached to Isana to harvest her. In her final confrontation with the heroes, Treesea imprisons Merry in to drown her in her own sorrow and mocks the Heroic Sacrifice performed by two heroes as "fruitless".
Item Number to The Item Number? I just fixed two wicks like that.
* The [[WesternAnimation/{{Gargoyles}} cartoon]].
* OurGargoylesRock, for the creature known as "gargoyles".
If a direct wick has led you here, please correct the link so that it points to the corresponding article.

Delete this piece from the Keiji Inafune entry from Fallen Creator:
[...] to the point his fellow ex-Capcom employee Hideki Kamiya stated on Twitter that Inafune was "a businessman, not a creator."
The entry predates long enough the Internet Backdraft of the underwhelming reception of Mighty No. 9. The phrase just was retaken because it was more widespread that Inafune was not the actual creator of Mega Man. That said, Kamiya had his reservations about the launching for supposedly being a copy of Mega Man.
At Film K To R, for The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, please Wiki Word The Great Wall. Thanks.
Also, at Transformers (video games) & Video Games L To Z (Transformers tree), please replace the appropriate entry with the one here. Thanks.

CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsPlease delete the following entries in FiveManBand.Web Original for being shoehorns.
- Cheat Commandos Adventures
- Doraleous & Associates
- Happy Tree Friends
- Oxhorn Short Shorts
- Red Vs Blue (there's three: Blue Team, Red Team, and Surviving Members)
- Saturday Morning Watchmen
- Spill.com
- Super Mario Bros. Z
- Tales of MU
- 17855: I buy Concrete Poetry, but Figurative Verse doesn't seem nearly as intuitive.
- 17856/17859/17860/17861: Done.
- 17857: Item Number seems like it could muddy the waters, between an actual musical number and the number of a physical item. Created the disambig.
- 17858: Honestly, if it's a single person creating the issue, then the single person needs to be spoken with before we lock a whole page.

Technically not a locked page, but DieForOurShip.Final Fantasy has a mod warning not to edit a specific example under Final Fantasy VII, so I'm taking it here.
- Example as written: After more than seventeen years, both Tifa and Aerith are still prone to being demonized and/or killed by shippers who favor a different pairing. Even more disturbing is the fact that Aerith is canonically dead by the end of the game anyway, and by Word of God that is irreversible.
- My proposal: Decades after release, both Tifa and Aerith are still prone to being demonized and/or killed by shippers who favor a different pairing. In Aerith's case she's irreversibly dead by the end of the game anyway, per Word of God.
- Reason for changes: Removes the reference to a specific number of years in the first sentence, and rewords the second sentence to avoid the implication that killing an already-dead character is disturbing.
At Conan the Barbarian, for the first entry, please replace the italics with quotes, since it's a short story and not a novel.
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsRequesting that the following small changes be made to Cerberus Daily News
Under Noodle Incident, could there be added the following:
- One of the most notable examples is the Hylagean Fog, mentioned sporadically by both salarian and batarian intelligence operatives. We know nothing about it save that it was a deadly force, apparently biological and space-faring, and that the threat of it was dealt with by, it's implied, joint operations between the salarian STG and the batarian state security.
Can the following be added:
Maybe Magic, Maybe Mundane: The long-burning plot centred on "Nos Dwicka" runs on this trope. Eldritch happenings and bizarre phenomena have been happening in the city for years, and more specifically now they centre on Mekan of Omega, who is possibly possessed by some krogan demigod, but it's not clear whether there's a logical explanation or not. "I draw the line at the Magic Krogan!" practically became a catchphrase among characters on the forum in 2018, as they struggled with the uncertainty.
Under Long Runner, could "five years" be updated to "eight years" (alternatively, if this isn't long enough to meet trope requirements, the entry can be axed).
Main.A Midsummer Nights Dream:
* The [[Theatre/AMidsummerNightsDream play by William Shakespeare]].
* The [[Fanfic/AMidsummerNightsDreamKillbles fanfiction by Killbles]].
If a direct wick has led you here, please correct the link so that it points to the corresponding article.

Rewrite for the first 2 entries for Wallander at Live Action TVM To Z:
- Alfred Hardeberg and his daughter, Kristina, from The Man who Smiled, are the masterminds behind TLL, a program they use to take organs from poor, desperate people and sell them to the wealthy. The latter also murders children to harvest organs from their deceased bodies. When the former's business dealing with Sten Torensson and his father goes badly, he hires assassins to kill them, blowing up the entire buildings they are in to murder them.
Suggesting an edit to Rape Is A Special Kindof Evil, as SNL recently did a sketch that pretty much invoked this trope outright.
Under Live-Action TV
- An episode of Saturday Night Live featuring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson had him playing a Mad Scientist at a contest to see who could create the most evil machine in the world. While fellow mad scientists build the likes of a Shrink Ray and a Freeze Ray, Dwayne's character builds a child-molesting robot (which he made by building a normal robot, and then molesting it until it learned to pass on this action onto children). The other 'evil' scientists are completely mortified at the concept and try and have Dwyane's character banned from the contest ... before the sketch turns into a commercial for White Castle.
