This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."At Kamen Rider, for Ex-Aid, please change it to this:
- Masamune Dan/Kamen Rider Cronus is the first CEO of Genm Corp., a game company he uses to upload people into the digital world. First appearing as a victim of his son, Kuroto's, misdeeds, it is revealed that Masamune willingly allowed his child to infect and kill countless people for his own plans. After taking charge of the deadly video game, Kamen Rider Chronicle, Masamune tricks people into playing the game, collecting their data once they are in it to control their lives. Destroying any who oppose him, Masamune also uses his control of data to delete a woman when her lover refuses to murder a heavily injured Taiga for Masamune. Reprogramming the Final Boss of Chronicle so it will digitize the entire world, Masamune seeks to control everyone's life. When offered the chance for redemption, Masamune kills himself, making it impossible to revive those who died in his game, controlling and spiteful to the end.
Thanks.

"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Could you lock the Black Panther subpages per this ATT, please
OH MY GOD; MY PARENTS ARE GARDENIIIIINNNNGGGGG!!!!!Done to here.
Regarding the Critical Dissonance and So Okay, It's Average entries on YMMV.Black Panther 2018, can we really trust the Rotten Tomatoes user score as an indicator of moviegoers' opinions, if racists and general Disney haters plotted to hijack it? If so, someone needs to fix the spelling and placement of the Critical Dissonance entry.

I move that both entries be deleted. A 20-point difference between critical and fan reviews is not out of the ordinary even if we assume all the fan reviews to be genuine; a cursory glance through the recently-released page on RT reveals that very few films' scores are much closer than that. Meanwhile, the So Okay, It's Average entry uses "downplayed example" as code for "shoehorned example."

and We really should be discussing which entries to keep and which to cut on the discussion page, tbh.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyWell, funny you should mention that, because someone directed me here when I mentioned the "Dissoncance" problem. So which is it?
Either way, if that Dissonance entry has to stay, someone please fix that typo because it's incredibly annoying.
talk about it on the discussion page and come here for changes when there’s consensus, I believe. Except typos and grammar, they don’t need consensus.
OH MY GOD; MY PARENTS ARE GARDENIIIIINNNNGGGGG!!!!!'Kay, I duplicated my inquiry there. Reading previous posts made me feel kind of sorry for MinisterOfSinister, though; he/she made one simple request, then practically got stuck in a "Groundhog Day" Loop.
"Someone needs to fix that typo!"
"Go ask someone in the general forum thread for locked pages!"
(goes there)

So, the Black Panther (2018) page is locked. Can I please request a mod to make the following change, if it is reasonable?
- Mary Suetopia: Zigzagged with Wakanda. On the one hand, Wakanda is depicted as a futurist borderline-paradise, with highly advanced technology freely available to all and universal healthcare, amongst other things. But, Wakanda's position is not unassailablenote , it is explicitly mentioned that the sheer population of the rest of the world means their tech is not a guaranteed protection if hostility broken out, and the nation's people are still people and thus prone to making bad decisions. There is notable internal tensions amongst Wakanda's population, such as the relationship with the Jabari Tribe. Finally, Killmonger even calls T'Challa out on some of Wakanda's less-than-stellar behavior, most notably their indifference to the suffering of other African people during colonization. Plus, T'Chaka's murder of his own brother and abandoning his nephew in America. Killmonger's arguments visibly shake T'Challa on some level: at the film's end, he decides that Villain Has a Point and begins a project to create Wakandan community outreach centers in other nations, to help struggling African minorities.
Fixed the spelling of Critical Dissonance on Black Panther (2018)
Laconic.Artistic License Film Production still has the dead "does not work that way" meme. Discussed here; it should probably be changed to match the other AL tropes:
I would like to add this to Black Panther (2018). I'm not sure whether the way it's written counts as Flame Bait.
- Misaimed Fandom: Killmonger and his goals have been widely embraced by many black activists and extremists despite the film repeatedly pointing out that his plan and beliefs are no different from those who are responsible for the oppression of many minorities in the past and present day.
Done.
Edited it a little bit and added, take a look.
That works. I'd also like to add this to Alternative Character Interpretation
- Is Everett Ross's Reasonable Authority Figure personality differing from his Obstructive Bureaucrat appearance in Captain America: Civil War a case of Depending on the Writer? Or did the events of the that film along with his role in the mess the Sokovia Accords created cause him to undergo some Character Development?

For the Janson entry, replace the second film with The Scorch Trials
edited 18th Feb '18 4:44:22 PM by randomtroper89
The thread I started on the Black Panther YMMV page's discussion page currently has three other people in favor of removing the Critical Dissonance and So Okay, It's Average entries, and zero people in favor of keeping them.
Uh, what Janson entry?
DTH otherwise.
Opps, Maze Runner entry at Film K To R.
DTH otherwise. Token Minority is temporarily locked because of a long-term vandal.
