Locked Pages: Lock, UnLock and Edit requests

Go To

This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:

  • creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
  • moving discussion pages
  • moving reviews

Please keep the following guidelines in mind:

  1. Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
  2. Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
  3. If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
  4. We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
  5. If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
  6. If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
  7. To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
  8. The Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard tropes aren't currently adding or removing examples. Wick changes and other minor corrections to the locked trope pages can be made via this thread, but more significant changes will be declined.
  9. Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

Requesting these additions to Five-Man Band video games under S. Was suggested a long time ago, actually, but I plum forgot about it until now, heh heh. They were approved though, some time ago as it was.

StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm

  • The Leader: Kerrigan, the leader of the Swarm.
  • The Lancer: Zagara, Kerrigan's first Broodmother conscripted and bred to take over the Swarm one day.
  • The Big Guy: Dehaka, a primal Zerg with no psionic powers but considerable brute strength.
  • The Smart Guy: Abathur, biologist in charge of engineering the Swarm's evolutions.
  • The Chick: Izsha, the adjutant-equivalent through which Kerrigan speaks to the Swarm and receives advice on reuniting and understanding them.

StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void

  • The Leader: Artanis, Hierarch of the Daelaam, the unified protoss.
  • The Lancer: Vorazun, Matriarch of the Dark Templar and Artanis' foil in political debates.
  • The Big Guy: Alarak, Highlord of the Tal'darim who prefers the direct and violent way to resolve conflicts.
  • The Smart Guy: Karax, Khalai phase-smith who oversees the arkship's systems and gives Artanis objectives to boost its power.
  • The Chick: Rohana, a Preserver deeply rooted in the traditions of the protoss and usually advises Artanis to keep true to them.

I'm not sure that the Fire Emblem Gaiden page needs to remain locked, I think it was just one person doing the negative edits.

Skeptical of Clive hate from Clair/Mathilda fans, I haven't seen any shipping them in the small fandom for the series, let alone hating on Clive.

I have an Ensemble Dark Horse entry for the Gaiden page.

  • Seazas, a Palette Swap boss in the original who didn’t even have dialogue and was Adapted Out of the remake, is a frequent subject of fan art, tributes and discussions. “Remember Seazas” is often jokingly said in the fandom, quite impressive for such a minor character.

Just got permission from this forum: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=6vic3f9h1cy5qivsenw8llok&page=3403 to list Dr. Gaia from the 2001 Cyborg 009 anime as a CM.

Since the anime page for Complete Monster is locked can someone with permission to do so please add the following description to it?

  • Dr. Gaia in the 2001 anime is the top scientist of Black Ghost and the creator of the Mythos Cyborgs. An old colleague of Dr. Gilmore, Gaia and Gilmore disagreed on the concept of human emotions, with Gaia believing them to be a weakness while Gilmore thought they gave people strength. Setting up base on Magma Island, Gaia activates his Mythos Cyborgs and convinces them that they're actual Greek Gods who have returned to punish humanity for their sins and create a better world. Gaia then sends them across the world to cause disasters affecting hundreds of people so he can gather energy for his generator. When Artemis begins to doubt the Greek Gods' mission and leaves, Gaia fatally shoots her to prevent her from possibly interfering with his plans, even though she showed no intention of standing in the Mythos Cyborgs' way. Even as Magma Island collapses as a result of his generator overloading, Dr. Gaia refuses listen to reason, instead declaring that he can use his generator to become a god. In the end, Gaia is shown to not care about anything other than proving that his cyborgs are better than Gilmore's and becoming a god.

Just imagine something here.

  • 15974: That's not a good enough reason. Searching "Dead Fall Guy Gambit" leads you directly to "Deceased Fall Guy Gambit".

At Batman, please change "Examples from the Arkham series..." to "Examples from video games"...

From here:
  • Mortimer goes to DC Comics, after Malefic (Post-Crisis).
  • Analogman goes to Digimon, before Lucemon (video games).
  • Art rewrite and the following 2 entries go to Film A To E.
  • The Chief and the following 2 entries go to Film F To O.
  • Zerstorer goes at the end of Grimm.
  • Lone Wolf tree goes to Literature A To L.
  • Dreyfuss and Jobe go at the end of the Sleepy Hollow tree at Live Action TVM To Z.
  • Starfy tree (replacing the current entry) and all the entries up to and including the Shovel Knight one all go to Video Games L To Z.
  • At Web Original, please remove the From Heaven's Door entry and add the Heaven Cycle tree.
  • Xcalibur tree goes to Western Animation (Series).
  • Thawn goes to Whoniverse, after Xanxia.
  • Conan tree (including heading) goes at the end of Conan.

Please also add this to Western Animation for works with their own pages:

Thanks.

Willbyr, I assume that's the stuff above mine?

I also got another one. This one replaces the Injustice entry at Video Games A To K"

  • Injustice series:
    • Injustice: Gods Among Us: The Joker is as bad as ever. In fact, he is the reason Superman adopts a zero tolerance policy on crime, as he places a detonator in the pregnant Lois Lane, set to trigger a nuke in Metropolis the moment her heart stops, and then uses a Kryptonite-laced version of Scarecrow's fear toxin to trick Superman into seeing Doomsday, so that the deaths of Lois and the millions in Metropolis are on Superman's hands. He does all of this because he was tired of losing to Batman and wanted to go after an easier target.
    • Injustice 2: Brainiac is The Collector of worlds and threatens the universe in this sequel. Shown in a flashback to have stolen Argo City and Kandor before destroying Krypton, Brainiac arrives on Earth after learning that Superman was defeated. Intrigued, Brainiac sends his Betas to round up, scan and vaporize civilians as well as brainwashing several heroes. Stealing numerous cities, Brainiac smiles as he takes Metropolis, after which he seemingly kills Superman. He declares that unless the heroes give him Supergirl to study how yellow sun radiation affects Kryptonian cells, he will order his Betas to self-destruct, igniting Earth’s atmosphere and wiping out all its life; in doing so he betrays Gorilla Grodd and the Society that were working with him. When Supergirl and Batman infiltrate his Skull Ship they find at least dozens of shrunken cities from different worlds giving a small glimpse of the scale of Brainiac’s atrocities. They are captured, Brainiac intending to vivisect Supergirl while dismissively leaving Batman to be killed. Personally murdering Doctor Fate, Brainiac is confronted by Superman, to which Brainiac boasts that he has killed billions of Kryptonians. With countless crimes of theft and genocide, the cold, ruthless Brainiac justifies himself with this line: "I value knowledge. And like your metal trinkets, knowledge is more valuable when it is rare."

Also, please add this to the header at Superman:

Also, for the Batman header, that should be:

At Superman, please pothole "private collection" (pre-crisis) and "collection" (post-crisis) for Brainiac to The Collector.

^Done.

^^Why? The page was cut over a year ago, never restored and it'd have to go through TLP again anyway.

^^^^Done save for Pee On A Stick as it isn't clear why that would be a good redirect.

[up]It came from a dialogue from the webcomic Questionable Content, and it was the original proposed title from the TLP. Then again, the name doesn't stick.

On Trilogy!Unicron's entry on Monster.Transformers, the pot hole to Enemy Mine is incorrectly formatted. Here's how it looks now:

Although he was defeated thanks to the combined efforts of the Autobots and Decepticons, Unicron returned with a vengeance.
