This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here
.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here
.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here
.
- The Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard tropes aren't currently adding or removing examples. Wick changes and other minor corrections to the locked trope pages can be made via this thread, but more significant changes will be declined.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

Is it Talia or Tania? Haven't seen much of that series, so I don't know which is the typo.

Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettFrom here
:
- Kimblee rewrite goes to Fullmetal Alchemist (2003 Anime).
- At the same page, please un-italicize "2003 Anime" and asscap the two headings.
- Pen Pal writeup goes to Creepypasta (Original Creepypasta)
- Talia goes to DC Animation (under DC Universe Animated Original Movies).
- Casper goes to Live-Action TV (since it's a Made-for-TV Movie).
- Julian also goes to Live-Action TV, at the end of the Vampire Diaries tree.
- Aerys rewrite goes to A Song of Ice and Fire (first folder).
Final Fantasy VII edit request: Present entry:
- Designated Villain: Shinra slips into this during the Huge Materia subplot. Their plan is to gather highly powerful Huge Materia from Mako Reactors, pack it up in their rocket, and launch it at Meteor to blow it up. The party decides to stop them for no reason other than "we can't let Shinra get their hands on the Huge Materia". This trope becomes particularly problematic when the party watches the rocket fail to blow up Meteor and expresses dismay that it doesn't work, prompting the question of why they sabotaged the plan at all.
This desribes Designated Evil, not Designated Villain as it's about act, not person. Also entry looks like Cloud and co. wanted to stop Shinra just to get a few shiny gems, when Materia are in fact crystalised souls and memories of Cetra, so not wanting to get them destroyed is understandable in normal circumstances(which is why it's not Informed Wrongness), although it is harder to understand when they're used to try to save the world.
Request the following addition to Justin Bieber:
- Angry Dance: Played excruciatingly straight in the video for "Love Yourself",
in which a couple's passive-aggressive fighting over tiny things—hogging the blanket, making the bed, one closing the refrigerator just as the other tries to look in it—is elaborately choreographed.
[Addendum: Agree that "excruciatingly" is word cruft, thanks/sorry! I think it's appropriate to say "played straight" since the trope page for Angry Dance says "Almost always Narm and fabulously so"; while Angry Dance isn't discredited, it's usually played for camp, and so I think it's reasonable to note that here it's done in earnest.]

"Played excruciatingly straight" is Word Cruft.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!""Played straight" in general is Word Cruft unless the trope is Discredited.
On Administrivia.Complaining About Shows You Dont Like:
Namespace {{edit war}} to Administrivia/EditWar.
Keeper of The Celestial FlameSince VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII is locked, namespace EditWar to Administriva/EditWar in the Shout-Out example about Manga/{{Berserk}} on that page. I have altered the Sandbox.Final Fantasy VII page accordingly.

Keeper of The Celestial Flame
I removed that phrase entirely. It's a superfluous editorial note.
I'd like for Invisible Orchestra to redirect to Invisible Backup Band.
![]()
Kind of pointless. Redirects are for searching, not for using in wicks.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I've namespaced all I can on the related page of Main.Edit War to Administrivia.Edit War. However, there are a lot of locked and troper pages on the list so a moderator will need to namespace them.

Keeper of The Celestial FlameWe don't modify troper pages. I'll look over the other related pages later.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I've fixed Ask The Tropers and Es gibt keine Relevanz with an edit changing links - protip: Ghost wicks can be effectively fixed not by a null edit, but with an edit that changes a link as that forces the crosslink table to update. Did everything else.
Do we want to keep a lock on Edit War? That page was locked when it was a trope with examples, not because it was a policy page.

Request for edit of Double Standard: Rape, Female on Male:
In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, Tania is Easily Forgiven very quickly (about five minutes into part 2 of the episode) for capturing Misawa after forcibly holding him to a Scarpia Ultimatum via wager, and even afterwards, Tania is considered, in-universe and out, to be the Token Good Teammate of the Seven Stars, becoming an ally of the heroes later. In fact, this is one case where the dub version actually made it worse; in the original version, the rest of the cast don't hear anything when they camp outside the arena, while in the dub, Misawa's screams are clearly audible. (Asuka claims they're dueling again, a case of the writers assuming Viewers Are Morons.) Misawa even has feelings for her later that extend into the third season when she appears again.
