This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here
.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here
.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here
.
- The Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard tropes aren't currently adding or removing examples. Wick changes and other minor corrections to the locked trope pages can be made via this thread, but more significant changes will be declined.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

Sandbox.Page Restoration Petitions is a locked ghost wick - unlock and cut it.
Also, when I asked to fix the two wicks to Biggus Dickus on The 120 Days of Sodom a while back, only the one in the description was fixed. The other is the fourth trope in the trope list.
Also, Headscratchers.Life Is Strange needs its index switched off. (The problem with my previous request for it is that I misspelled its title).

Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project!
We are discussing that now. We never clearly stated whether we intended to lock it for just opening weekend (Thurs-Sun) or for a full week.
The announcement of the Lock in the The Force Awakens discussion page reads as follows:
Moderator Note: All articles under this title have been preemptively locked against early-bird spoilers. They will be unlocked after opening weekend.
So the announcement clearly states that the page would be unlocked after the opening weekend, not the opening week. If that decision has changed, that is your prerogative and we will accept it; but we all had a valid expectation that the pages would be unlocked today.

Edit issue...in The Yoda Chronicles work page, why can I not get Horde Of Screaming Fans to not be red linked? I've even tried copying the spelling from the trope page grr.
I say unlock, but put in a notice about spoiler tags? For Kylo Ren's folder at Star Wars, please put (Walking Spoiler) or (Spoiler Warning) after his name in the folder, as even with spoiler tags even some of the trope names can be spoilers.

On the Force Awakens lock.
This is getting ridiculous, the reason for locking them in the first place was dubious but now there is no reason at all to keep them locked. Information on big spoilers are already out and on the pages anyway. The articles as they stand are so full of speculation and wrong information that the lock has basically become the thing it was meant to prevent.
As someone who isn't going to be able to see it for another two days, I vote for unlocking them now. It kept people from going crazy for the first few days, but now that the diehards have had time to cool off, it should be fine.
Writing a post-post apocalypse LitRPG on RR. Also fanfic stuff.Edit request for The Bible: adding Book of Corinthians to the list in its description. (I was doing a Wiki Walk, and notice it was on the Sacred Works index [showing up at the bottom of the page], but not on the The Bible index.)
I said "drop it: it's hot," not "drop it like it's hot!"![]()
We somewhat dread all the accidental edit clashes that are going to occur once we unlock the pages.
Gonna put in a request to add Hair-Trigger Temper to Kylo Ren's character section. There's nothing particularly spoiler-laden about it, and his explosive anger issues and short-sighted destructiveness when angry are defining character traits.
From here
:
- Toyman goes to DC Animation (under the DC Universe Animated Original Movies group).
- The Case 39 entry and Collector rewrite go to Film A To E.
- Joe Montague rewrite, Muriel rewrite, Howling tree (replacing the current entry), and Vortgyn entry go to Film F To O.
- I Hunt Killers entry replaces the current tree at Literature A To L.
- Bastion entry goes to Video Games L To Z.
"We somewhat dread all the accidental edit clashes that are going to occur once we unlock the pages."
Keeping the page locked is only going to make things worse. People are going to have more time to get more and more writeups ready and they are all going to want to dump them at the pages as soon as the lock is lifted.
Opening the valves now will prevent the damn from bursting down the line.
Alright, due to the overwhelming volume of requests and the lack of any clear consensus among the moderation staff, I'll unlock the articles for The Force Awakens effective 12 PM EST today, roughly.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"And, that's done. *crosses fingers*
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I know I might be requesting something entirely trivial and unimportant, but in Troll Post, there's a pothole to Incredibly Lame Pun, which is just a redirect now. Shouldn't it be removed or replaced with Pun?
135 -> 180 -> 273 -> 191 -> 188 -> 230 -> 300 -> 311

I don't. I can't watch the movie until this weekend at the earliest, and I want to go in blind.
