Locked Pages: Lock, UnLock and Edit requests

Go To

This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:

  • creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
  • moving discussion pages
  • moving reviews

Please keep the following guidelines in mind:

  1. Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
  2. Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
  3. If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
  4. We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
  5. If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
  6. If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
  7. To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
  8. The Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard tropes aren't currently adding or removing examples. Wick changes and other minor corrections to the locked trope pages can be made via this thread, but more significant changes will be declined.
  9. Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

Changing the namespace is something you can do yourself. It's changing the page type that you may need to ask the mods to take care of.

[up][up][up][up]If it's decided to have Memetic Sex God as a disambiguate page, maybe it can be added to Permanent Red Link Club under the "Deliberate Redlink" folder.

@Prfnoff: That page needs to be split before it can be edited.

@Serpensium: Moved the page myself.

@toonyloon: Waiting for the TRS to conclude.

Some rewrites:

  • Thawne goes to Arrowverse.
  • The next three go to Digimon; they're the Xros Wars trio. Please also asscap the headings instead of having them exclamation-pointed.
  • Rourke and Coachman go to Disney.
  • Repli-Carter (from Stargate SG-1) goes to Live-Action TV.

Since Selfish Evil is now a redirect to Selfishness Tropes, please make the following changes (if it just says "remove the pothole" with no other instructions, that just means make it "selfish"): Many thanks smilecool[tup]

Assuming it isn't an archive (I'm not entirely sure), please add the Video Game namespace to the Pokemon Red And Blue pothole in Headscratchers.Pokemon Archive so it no longer links to the Main namespace.

I know, which I was why I mentioned that. I'm sure if it's an archive or not, so I just posted the edit request in case it wasn't.

^^Done. Remember that redlinks don't automatically become indexed just because they are created; you need to re-edit the index page.

^An example can be added to a locked page by a moderator, but was that entry discussed?

  • At Digimon, please Asscap the headings. You can just copy and paste from here, but please do NOT Cut List that Sandbox.

Please alphabetize the "Web Original" entries at Other Media as follows (can just copy and paste):
  • Atop the Fourth Wall: Mechakara is a robot from an alternate dimension where Linkara's Robot Buddy Pollo turned evil, killed him, and robots overthrew humanity. His plans solely revolve around sending our protagonist into a mental breakdown; and, when that fails, he captures him and plans to kill him slowly, simply because his death went too fast the first time around. While that would normally make him just another killer robot, what shoots him over the top is how, after getting the magic MacGuffin that he came for, he decides instead to destroy all organic life in the multiverse. He's a cold heartless monster and the fact that he's returned is a signal he'll only get worse from here. It gets particularly bad in the Silent Hill Dead/Alive videos, where Mechakara slowly Mind Rapes Linkara into thinking he's the (actually long dead) man who tortured his daughter to create Linkara's Magic Gun.
  • Eclipse: Freiherr Eighinn Stossuhl is a brutish, Trigger-Happy thug who firmly believes that Might Makes Right. In his first appearance, he threatens to attack a neutrally-aligned country (Cessair) if they failed to turn in the main character. When the main character actually leaves peacefully, Stossuhl attacks Cessair anyway, in a war that cost the lives of 86,492 people and eradicated Cessair's entire infrastructure. When he gets hit by a sniper, Stossuhl responds by destroying an entire building; he admitted that the sniper probably wasn't there anyway. He incinerates an entire platoon of his own soldiers when they took too much time to get through a maze. When an injured soldier grabbed his ankle, Stossuhl destroyed his entire upper torso because he was stopped from sprinting. When another soldier offers to patch him up after a fight, Stossuhl pushed his skull into his torso because "Real men never disarm themselves." When an informant reveals that all of his targets had escaped, Stossuhl immediately chokes the informant to death, while still demanding to know where they went. He proceeds to order the eradication of Cessair, and when his colleagues called him out on it, Stossuhl continues the shelling out of spite. At a public speech, Stossuhl attempted to divert his culpability in the invasion by claiming his colleagues supported it (when they didn't). Finally, Stossuhl publicly executed close to a hundred Cessair prisoners (and his own bodyguards) by unleashing a stream of magma that morphed them into a mesh of dry, organic rock.
  • How I Escaped from a Cult (link): Charlie Stocke was the self-appointed prophet of the Third Reincarnation of the King, as well as the alleged third reincarnation of Christ. Stocke convinced several of his followers into going with him into the wilderness, and he forced them to work eight hours a day. He placed most of the memebers on the "prayer list" as a means of breaking them into submission, and he purposefully starved them. He later sentenced a married couple to death when they tried to leave the cult, and he also executed the narrator's parents. Four more members died from execution while the remaining members of the TRK either died from starvation or resorted to cannibalism. Stocke eventually tried to orchestrate a mass suicide, but he was ultimately burned alive and eaten.
  • The SCP Foundation specializes in securing and containing the worst abominations and monstrosities known and unknown to man in order to protect the world and its population. Several of the inmates of their facilities have been especially monstrous.
    • SCP 953 is a Korean Kumiho who makes a habit of devouring human livers. Before she was captured, the Kumiho would go on violent sprees to rip the livers from their owners and proved herself to be far more than just a predator. The Kumiho would proceed to draw out her victim's agony and viciously torture them to death, relishing in their pain. When she escapes, the Kumiho will inevitably begin her murders anew, including an attack on a furry convention that left many dead. She also murdered an agent and performed sexually indecent acts on the corpse. Her worst crime, however, was telepathically forcing a mother to murder and cook her own child.
    • SCP 993, AKA Bobble The Clown functions as The Corrupter to children. Using the power of television, Bobble would out viewers above the age of 10 into a trance while the children were shown graphic acts of Bobble committing murder and other evil acts. Many of the children would grow up to become serial killers themselves. Bobble himself describes himself reaching into the heads of children and happily twisting them. By his own admission, Bobble has been creating monsters for 'quite some time' and has even given his child victims instruction on how to release monsters from the SCP foundation that could cause the end of humanity. When interviewed by a foundation doctor, Bobble revealed he has been creating monsters for 'quite some time,' and that he has been tormenting humanity since the caveman days.
    • SCP 1790 is a being that can respawn whenever it dies by possessing a human infant. Seemingly human, it uses each lifespan to found a powerful cult and eventually institutes ritualized mass murder and human sacrifice. When it is not stopped, SCP 1790 will direct its followers on large-scale mass murder campaigns against the general population before abandoning the cult and moving on to start a new one.
  • Suburban Knights: Malachite is an age-old, Evil Luddite whose ultimate goal is to rid the world of all technology, thus destroying it. Once noble, Malachite turned to dark ways after the scientist Aeon was picked over his own magical ways by the king of the land, leading Malachite to try and kill Aeon before being defeated. In the present, Malachite sealed Jaffers in a magical tome after he picked up too much knowledge, and manipulated the TGWTG crew into finding his gauntlet for him. Along the way, Malachite sets about mercilessly murdering whomever comes in his way while deriding them for their use of modern day technology. Malachite ultimately proves out to be a massive hypocrite: the deliberate use of his phone, while comedic, proves that Malachite is simply trying to destroy the world out of petty revenge for being picked on in the past. He proceeds to kill two of the guardians and Jaffers before attempting to kill all of the TGWTG crew, succeeding in killing off Ma-Ti in his own defeat. Unflinchingly ruthless in his goal and and notably dark given the source material, Malachite proved to be one of the darkest villains fought by the The Nostalgia Critic and company.
  • There Will Be Brawl: Kirby is nowhere close to the cute little marshmallow you grew up with. He is a cannibalisitic Serial Killer who takes delight in torturing and gruesomely murdering his victims. He destroyed his own homeland, drove Mewtwo insane by "whispering" to him, and is responsible for almost everything that goes wrong in the Mushroom Kingdom, manipulating the other villains. He very gruesomely killed many characters, most of them being the few innocents left in this setting. He takes great pleasure in ruining Luigi's life, and killed Daisy and Peach, the two women he loved the most. He also likes to torment his victims with their past. His motive is sheer sadism.
  • The Whateley Universe:
    • Deathlist is a psychopathic, Nigh-Invulnerable cyborg who gets off on widespread carnage and considers the world to owe him a debt of pain. The most horrific thing he's done so far was to kidnap a mutant superheroine, jam a power-neutralizing device into her skull, then hack off her arms and legs and give her to his troops as a sex toy. Then, when she died after more than a month of torture and rape, he impaled her corpse on a pole with a thank-you message to one of her former teammates carved into her chest. Not even his Freudian Excuse (namely, that his parents tried to kill him by crushing him in a garbage compactor) nets him any sympathy after that.
    • Hekate is a wizardess supervillain-in-training whose rap sheet includes using a spell to enslave two of her classmates for a year, during which they were repeatedly raped and otherwise abused while being completely aware of what was happening but powerless to stop it, as well as the fact that the athamé she used in the spell was empowered by the ritual sacrifice of two young children. Not only that, but during a magical battle with Fey (after trying and failing to ensnare her in the same enslavement spell mentioned earlier), she summons a trio of iron elementals using the promise of dozens of future sacrifices. To top all that off, she used her athamé to stab Jade in the heart beforehand, just to torment Fey.
