Another trope to add:
AnimalGenderBender: Sheik Amar who arranges the ostrich races repeatedly refers to them and the only ostrich left later in the movie as "she", however, all the shown ostriches are male.
Requesting more edits for the Friendship Is Magic Character page.
Twilight Sparkle's parents (under Mane Family Members)
Expy: Twilight's mom is very clearly based on the original G1 Twilight, down to the cutie mark and hair colors.
* Twilight's father resembles a G1 German pony named Nachtlicht. Translated? Nightlight.
Derpy Hooves/Ditzy Doo (under Background Ponies)
Fan Nickname: "And so the legend of Derpy Hooves is born" said one Dr. Foreigner on /co/ when the crossed eyes were first noticed, and born it was! This name has gotten shoutouts in a commercial, official t-shirts, and even the show's staff refers to her as Derpy, though its yet to be used in show.
* In "Winter Wrap Up", Rainbow Day tells Rainbow Dash that a pony named Ditzy Doo went "north to get the southern birds", and Derpy is noticeably absent in this scene. Lauren Faust stated that they might use Derpy's design if they ever need to show Ditzy, and since then a lot of fans have adopted this as her "real" name. *
* Bright Eyes (which is the name of a My Little Pony Tales character) was a somewhat popular "real name" for her before Ditzy Doo was revealed.
Lyra (also under Background Ponies)
Suddenly Voiced: In the Italian dub, Lyra shouts out "Ciao!...oh?" when she waves to Twilight in the first episode. In the original English, she's voiceless (outside of crowd songs) for all of Season 1.
—-
Felt Twilight's dad being based Nachlicht was worth mentioning, Derpy's Fan Nickname looked too speculative and didn't mention the origin of her name! Also, Lyra does indeed speak for the in the Italian dub
.
Also, thanks in advance and for previous edits!

You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!I'd like to request Citation Needed to be unlocked so that a page can be created for the tumblr blog of the same name, run by Conor Lastowka of Rifftrax and Josh Fruhlinger of the Comics Curmudgeon.

First of all, this is the wrong thread for the request. Second of all, I think Citation Needed would be a better place to put it in.

I've seen a You Tube comment claiming that every dub (not just the Italian one) has Lyra be Suddenly Voiced in that scene. Can anyone confirm this?
We've got some minor Natter on the FiM character page.
- What Do You Mean It's Not Heinous?: Eternal night is actually quite tame compared to most other villainous plots.
- Except for the lack of sunlight for photosynthesis, leading to the extinction of all multicellular life.
I tried searching for other dubs on youtube, couldn't find anything. It should be noted there are some fan made dubs, but they shouldn't be counted.
Here's the Lyra scene in question

You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!Post 1052: done, with a bit of clarification about what the gender-bender-feature is.
I'm quite confused by those My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic edits.
Starting in post 1053: The Twilight Sparkle's parents Expy text is already there, word for word. The following bullet point doesn't have a trope. The Derpy Hooves Fan Nickname text: does that replace what is there? How is it integrated with the existing text? I gave up at that point: seems not to be cut-and-paste markup.
Post 1057 also confused me: are you saying that Eternal night is strictly harmless within the show and all that death-of-the-world stuff is meaningless within the reality of the show? Are you asking for that to be cut?
I might have to leave it to the Pony Expert.

It bugs me that people leave empty spaces (intervals) at the end of lines after the very last symbol.
Please remove the intervals.
Example: [line]._ -> [line].
Animal Gender Bender: Sheik Amar who arranges the ostrich races repeatedly refers to them and the only ostrich left later in the movie as "she", however, all the shown ostriches are dark bodied: they look like males._

Pony edits made. Added the information about Twilight's father, incorporated the additional information about Derpy's name into the entry, added the Lyra example. Don't know anything about the different dubs, so I mentioned the Italian one only. The natter on the Luna example was of the "well, actually" variety and had a point, so I just deleted that example as incorrect.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Hello, I found perfect characters who fit for the roles of Complete Monster Disney page. The page has been locked however for some reasons (unknown to me).
The description The child-murdering Winifred Sanderson from Hocus Pocus, who seems the only one truly evil of all three sisters (the other two are too stupid to really count). Though Winifred, like the other two, is Played for Laughs most of the time, there ARE moments in which she is truly frightening.
They even listed as Complete Monsters on their film page.

Related to the cleanup of Understatement sinkholes in articles, I note that the article for Whale Wars has one. Could someone remove that?
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. For The Bible, can we add in that Portal is a co-Trope Namer of Nice Job Breaking It, Herod, like we do now for Finding Judas and House? Need to give credit to the *really* important works, after all.

- There is a pothole to Alternative Character Interpretation that's creating a red bullet. Please remove it.
- Jerkass in the trope list needs brackets around it.

Really? Why fix what ain't broke?
Playing With Ryona has been locked. Why is that?
The caption on the image for My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic has some sinkholes. The parenthetical section should be changed to: Clockwise from upper-left: Pinkie Pie, Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Princess Celestia, Applejack, Fluttershy, Spike, and Rarity.
To the characters page of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, under Spike, add Eat Dirt, Cheap. His main food is gemstones.
ok boomer

Okay, whatever. We'll leave it as Blue Eyes.
