This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here
.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

(The page doesn't exist yet, but the page in Main/ is going to be cutlisted for being too much of a stub, so this will be a red link anyway.)
Adolf Hitler and The Vampire Diaries Book Characters each have a wick pointing to Big, Badass Wolf, which has been turned into the Wolf Tropes index. Please remove both of them.

7931: Mostly done. I didn't find Papa Lazarou on Monster.Live Action TV. The NCIS example is for NCIS Los Angeles, unless that character crossed over...references to him I've found are for the latter show, so that's where I linked it. Also, the Kore entry still has some grammar issues and problems with run-on sentences, so that's not done. The rest is done.

In the No Lewdness No Prudishness article I'd like to edit the following sentence:
"Sex exists. It's used in media a lot. You'll just need to cope with that fact. Relationships, fanservice, and sexual activity all fall into their own tropes as a result."
Instead of "sex exists" we should change it to Sex Sells, or at least mention it "Sex exists - Sex Sells."

Adolf Hitler is being moved to UsefulNotes.Adolf Hitler, as per this TRS thread. Could the Main/ page please be turned into a redirect to preserve inbounds?
This is for the Double Standard Rape: Female on Male page, under the Live-Action TV, for the entry on Series/Shameless (near the bottom). The addition is an even better example the first one because it emphasizes the trope as part of an ongoing storyline rather than as a one-off. Thanks!
- Again in the case of Mickey in seasons 3 and 4, whose violently homophobic father Terry catches him having sex with his boyfriend Ian. He brutally beats them both and then holds them at gunpoint while he calls in a prostitute to "Fuck the queer out of" him as Ian is forced to watch. The prostitute, Svetlana, becomes pregnant, supposedly by Mickey, and he is compelled to marry her by Terry. This causes him and Ian to break up and leaves Mickey trapped in a marriage with a woman he is not attracted to and despises. Nobody really treats this as rape however, and even Mickey's sister Mandy is angry with him when he refuses to go to the hospital to be with Svetlana when she gives birth, especially when he says it's not his fault she got pregnant in the first place. Svetlana is also furious that Mickey refuses to be a devoted husband and father, and that he resumes his relationship with Ian instead of focusing on her and the baby.
Another possible one for the "Rape:female on male" page, possible work addition.
The Emergency! fic "A Woman Scorned" doesn't have actual physical rape, but the attack is sexual in nature: Gage is attacked by a psycho woman who hits him with a tire iron, then steals his clothes, leaving him stranded naked in the woods. In one scene, Dixie catches some young nurses watching the story on the news on a TV at the hospital,giggling about it. She promptly admomishes them for making fun of the incident, as no one would be laughing if a woman were attacked and left somewher naked.
I'm not positive it fits, but I am about 90% there.

Please edit all Made Of Win archives to namespace all the works listed there. It's annoying to have locked pages being the only one listed for a Main/ redirect (i.e. Main.Eighth Doctor Adventures)

Archives are never edited except for a handful of reasons, and namespacing is not one of them.
Maybe the Archive/ namespace can be excluded from the "related to" page like Tropers/ is.

Characters.Teen Wolf also needs Hot Dad removed, since none of the entries is good.
Locked Pages needs the commented-out reference changed so that it no longer mentions the autolocker.

The thing about the archive pages, though, is that they're not in an Archive/ namespace, or at least the ones with the most now outdated wicks (be they renamed tropes, namespace redirects, deleted articles, PRLC members...) aren't in an Archive/ namespace. The Made of Win archives are in Main/, and some of the Headscratchers pages that had to be archived before they got too large are in Headscratchers/. They have the word "Archive" in their titles, but as near as I can tell, they're not in an Archive/ namespace.
If they were, I'd agree with their being excluded from wick counts.
That can be easily remedied with a namespace move. I did propose such but there was not much interest.
