Locked Pages: Lock, UnLock and Edit requests

Go To

This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:

  • creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
  • moving discussion pages
  • moving reviews

Please keep the following guidelines in mind:

  1. Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
  2. Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
  3. If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
  4. We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
  5. If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
  6. If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
  7. To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
  8. The Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard tropes aren't currently adding or removing examples. Wick changes and other minor corrections to the locked trope pages can be made via this thread, but more significant changes will be declined.
  9. Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

Mostly done to here. I'm not sure how to add that Referenced By subpage since there's no folder for those in the LP thread. Or would it be mentioned within the entry for the UN Mein Kampf page?

[up] I see that you removed the italics from the book’s title in the lead. Sure, it isn’t a work page anymore, but I still think maybe it should be italicized as a book title, otherwise we’ll have to change a bunch of other italicized uses.

I would like to request that Robin Hood be made into a disambiguation with the following written there, given that it has over 5,000 inbounds and is directly wicked within a handful of archived pages:

The legendary outlaw archer Robin Hood is an incredibly famous character of medieval folklore, so much so that he has been adapted into countless different media. As such, there are several characters, works, and tropes that bear his name or are otherwise named after him. If you clicked on this link, you are most likely looking for one or more of the following:
  • Robin Hood, the original myth and character himself.
  • DerivativeWorks.Robin Hood, a comprehensive index that covers the various stories and characters based on the legend. See also Film.Robin Hood for a full disambiguation of works directly named after the character.
  • Just Like Robin Hood, a trope that covers characters who follow the same ethical creed as Robin Hood of stealing from rich people who hoard their resources, then giving the plunder to people in need.
  • Splitting the Arrow, sometimes called "Robin Hooding" by professional archers.
If a direct wick has led you here, please redirect it to one of the above pages or to a work listed within one of the above indices.

Sincerely, Lumberwood
