- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.

That entire page should probably be on a year-long example delay, at absolute minimum.
Requesting a new example on Sex Slave.
- Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Zeke mentions that there's a market out there for attractive Blades (and this is something he and his Blade had to worry about, since she "looks human enough, for a Blade"). Since a Blade naturally trusts and thinks the best of the person who awakened them, it's easy for them to take advantage. Criminals will kill a Driver, then scoop up the core crystal of the Blade, and put it up for sale. While a Blade is naturally far stronger than any human, if their Driver dies the Blade returns to their core, meaning essentially their only way to fight back is to commit suicide. We see this happen in one quest, though for other reasons.

. There are several instances of the acronym "RMBK" to describe the nuclear reactor involved in the accident. However, the reactor's Russian name is Reaktor Bolshoy Moshchnosty Kanalny (which translates to high-power channel reactor, fyi). Therefore, RMBK is not correct and should instead read RBMK.
Requesting the following edits be made to Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan:
Comic Books
- Afghanistan made its first appearance in the Marvel Universe in a 1981 issue of The Incredible Hulk. The Hulk finds himself in Nuristan province, Afghanistan right in the thick of the Soviet invasion. He arrives just after the Soviets had destroyed a village, and an Afghan rebel walks past him, not even noticing the Hulk, due to being shell-shocked from witnessing his family being slaughtered by the Soviets
- An issue of Cloak and Dagger has them busting an international drug ring throughout Asia that takes them to Soviet-occupied Afghanistan.
- G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #6 sees the Joes traveling to Afghanistan to retrieve the crashed remains of a Soviet spy plane, assisted by the local mujahideen rebels. There, they face off against their Soviet counterparts, the Oktober Guard. The following issue sees the Joes and the Oktober Guard teaming up against Cobra.
- Watchmen has the Soviets take the opportunity to invade Afghanistan in order to expand their sphere of influence, feeling emboldened after Dr. Manhattan leaves the Earth for Mars. Notably, the timeline of the invasion is considerably delayed in this setting as a direct result of Dr. Manhattan's influence: The invasion begins in October 1985 rather than December 1979.
Film
- In Predator, it's heavily suggested that Dutch's crew took part in some black ops missions in Afghanistan. When they come across a downed helicopter, Poncho says "Do you remember Afghanistan?", while Dutch himself says he's "trying to forget it". The novelization makes it clear that Afghanistan was one of the operations they took part in, alongside Angola, Lebanon and Cambodia.
Live Action TV
- The Americans is a show about two undercover Soviet spies living in the US during the 1980s, and naturally the Soviet–Afghan War is a recurring theme throughout the series. One notable episode features Phillip assassinating two mujahideen commanders at a restaurant, and another features both Phillip and Elizabeth manipulating one mujahideen commander to kill two others, with the motivation of destabilizing the Afghan resistance.
Music
- Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire" includes the lyric "Russians in Afghanistan" in the final verse of the song.
- The Clash's "Washington Bullets", from the 1980 album Sandinista! is mostly about denouncing the United States' intervention in Latin America. However, the final verse contains a "Not So Different" Remark condemning the Soviet Union's invasion of Afghanistan, which happened just before the album was recorded.
And if you find an Afghan rebel that the Moscow bullets missed
Ask him what he thinks of voting communist - Soviet rock band Kino's "Blood Type" is a Protest Song concerning the Afghan war, sung from the perspective of a Soviet soldier serving his country.

Hello, previously on Trope Talk I considered whether or not a name change for Crazy Workplace would be a good idea, as I believe it causes confusion on the trope's nature. I was directed here as a place to suggest an alternative redirect name instead: Eccentric Employment
Og post here: I brought this up on the discussion page a while ago, but nobody saw it so I'm posting here instead.
I've been thinking about whether this trope could use a name change. I feel it doesn't illustrate the trope well enough and is too similar to other trope names. One suggestion I got back in TLP was 'Eccentric Employment' as a name, and I quite like it; it illustrates that the job itself can be wacky as well as the actual goings-on. Thoughts?
Nuts! You have to ask in the All-Purpose TRS thread rather than here, since renaming a trope requires TRS. Also, you have to do a wick check to gauge how much misuse or confusion happens across the examples by the name.

135 -> 180 -> 273 -> 191 -> 188 -> 230 -> 300 -> 311Hi. I would like to ask for the source code/links for the three images on UsefulNotes.Chernobyl. This is to create an Image Pickin' thread in order to decide which of the images could stay, since it is unilateral for pages to have more than one image.
Thank you. I will try to remember if this need to happens again.

Do not mess with creatures which you do not understand. You simply need to add “?action=source” to the URL to get those.

And there's a button literally saying "Page Source" in the top menu, so adding to URL isn't needed.

- Scott Adams, creator of Dilbert, after a screed he posted against the "men's rights" movement in March 2011 went viral, in which he essentially said that he agreed with them on every point, but they should "man up" and stop complaining, because women get special treatment for the same reason as the mentally disabled. It didn't help him when he deleted it, or when he was exposed for defending himself with sock puppets, and it really didn't help when he posted an article a few months later saying that a number of "men behaving badly" stories in the news was due to society suppressing male nature - including the rape allegations against Dominique Strauss-Kahn and Julian Assange. He fairly clearly condemns rape, but the juxtaposition was enough for some, as well as his assertion that female urges were "encouraged."

- The reputation of Scott Adams, creator of Dilbert, took its first hit after a screed he posted against the "men's rights" movement in March 2011 went viral, in which he essentially said that he agreed with them on every point, but they should "man up" and stop complaining, because women get special treatment for the same reason as the mentally disabled. Adams' reputation tanked even further over the years with his support of Donald Trump and other right-wing causes, culminating in Dilbert being cancelled in 2023, when he published a racist video calling African-American people "a hate group". Its relaunch as Dilbert Reborn has seen criticism for fixating on the things that got it cancelled.

Proposing another change to the I Am Not Making This Up entry on Administrivia.Permanent Red Link Club that is still short, but still states that all links to the trope were purged when it joined the club.
- I Am Not Making This Up: Used as a pothole for absolutely anything that sounded even the slightest bit outlandish, it consequently became a grating catchphrase (appearing on more than 2,500 pages at its peak) that made This Very Wiki look like idiots with an incredibly low threshold of disbelief. Not only was this trope the first very page to be permanently redlinked for being a Pothole Magnet, all instances of the phrase were automatically deleted from the wiki, leaving blank spots where it used to be. Some discussion related to this incident is preserved on I Am Not Making This Up Discussion, and in-universe examples were moved to "Not Making This Up" Disclaimer. Since this is TV Tropes and even Reality Is Unrealistic, you don't need to say this, as there's no reason not to believe such things happened.
Like I mentioned here,
I do not believe mentioning them is necessary given they've long since been filled.
