This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here
.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here
.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here
.
- The Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard tropes aren't currently adding or removing examples. Wick changes and other minor corrections to the locked trope pages can be made via this thread, but more significant changes will be declined.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

Er, why would we recreate it? It wasn't a work subpage to begin with, just a spammy subpage for a trope. And that usually means it's just garbage posted by a bot or troll or someone who doesn't know how to make pages.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper Wall
In that case, I request it be changed to this:
- Characters.Everythings Sparkly With Jewelry: Cut for being an illegitimate work page for a trope.
Oddly enough, I can access the edit screen for that page (despite the lock symbol).
When you're alone I'm reaching out to let you know that you're far from strangers, like the saviorIt's a glitch that affects PRLC pages specifically. I was allowed to test it once and saving edits on those pages does nothing though, so it's fine
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallAs someone new here, I'm just wondering if the moderators can edit locked pages. https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Characters/SpiderManSpiderVerseSpiderSociety
has several glaring typos, including Sun-Spider's "Ehlers-Danyos Syndrome" obviously meaning Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.
Also, why are all the Spider-Verse movie character pages locked?
Locked Pages will give you the list of locked pages, as well as explanations as to why they're locked.
TV Tropes Glossary has an entry on the term "Unilateral editing." Basically, the Spider-Verse pages were locked in order to prevent people from single-handedly and abruptly splitting off and rearranging the items on them without warning.
(Also, you will need to list out ALL the typos on ALL the pages so that the moderators will know what to fix.)

You can also sandbox a new version of the article that has the fixes you want. Link it here for us to review and swap in.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"
1) Go to Sandbox.Spider Man Spider Verse Spider Society and click the "Edit page button"
2) On Characters.Spider Man Spider Verse Spider Society, click "More" and then click "Page source"
3) Hit CTRL+A to select all the text in the page source, copy all of it with CTRL+C, and paste it into the edit box that appeared when you clicked Edit page on the Sandbox page using CTRL+V
4) Go back into Edit page and make the changes you want to make
5) Once you're satisfied the Sandbox is the way you want it, request that its contents be transferred to the Characters page by making another forum post here

https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Sandbox/SpiderManSpiderVerseSpiderSociety
Submitting adjustments for the Spider-Society page.
When making these requests, follow Clancy Gardener's example. You are requesting to swap Sandbox.Spider Man Spider Verse Spider Society to Characters.Spider Man Spider Verse Spider Society.
Going through that, many of the added examples are Zero-Context Examples.... Wasn't this just supposed to be for grammar?
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallI'm sorry, but we can't accept "grammar fixes" and a bunch of extra examples at the same time, especially if those examples are of low quality.
Also, there's no [foldercontrol] tag on that page.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"TBH, I'm less concerned with the examples being added and more with the context issue. See the page I linked if you're going to be adding examples; as they're going directly to a locked page they would need to follow How to Write an Example since otherwise it'd be hard for anyone else to correct. Saying things like "is this" or assuming the reader understands, say, that being LEGO Spider-Man means the character is tiny, is not enough context for each trope.

So this technically isn't a request per se, I just have some questions regarding this entry on Administrivia.Permanent Red Link Club:
1) What does this entry mean by "spam"?
2) Are you guys certain the "spam" will reappear if the page is unlocked and recreated?
