Locked Pages: Lock, UnLock and Edit requests

Go To

This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:

  • creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
  • moving discussion pages
  • moving reviews

Please keep the following guidelines in mind:

  1. Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
  2. Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
  3. If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
  4. We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
  5. If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
  6. If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
  7. To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
  8. The Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard tropes aren't currently adding or removing examples. Wick changes and other minor corrections to the locked trope pages can be made via this thread, but more significant changes will be declined.
  9. Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

Sorry, if I wasn't clear for my last request for Mumkey Jones.

This line was formerly a sub-bullet under The Chick (but thanks to the recent edits, it's now under The Alcoholic), but it should be cut because it doesn't count as an example of The Smurfette Principle (and uses weasel words to count).

  • Sheepover can arguably be this. Although usually the camera-woman behind the scenes, she will appear from time to time.

I'm requesting that it be cut.

I've been informed that this is the thread to go to for page move requests that also involve preserving edit history (and for moves that don't involve capitalization errors), so here we are.

(And... can someone please add that detail to the OP, so people looking for such a thing will know to come here?)

Now, the request. I was reading a recap page earlier, and found a couple of entries that need moving to match the style of the other links. None of them have sub-pages, so that's not an issue.
The majority of the links, here and on the other Scooby-Doo recap pages, use the following style:
The eight pages that need moving to match this style are:

Until next time...

At Arrowverse, where it says "Shows are listed by first airdate. Other universes may be found at their respective pages here or here." Please change the first pothole to DC Series and the second to DC Films

I just made a page for Monster Hunter Stories: Ride On, and discovered that it has an example on Monster.Anime And Manga G To N that links to the game. Can it be changed without having to consult the Complete Monster thread?

Done, but please always format these requests in "X to Y" format. And we don't do page splits here.

Please add this trope example to The Bible.

  • Wise Serpent:
    • In Genesis 3 the Serpent is described as being craftier than any of the wild animals God created. In the same book, Lucifer takes the form of a snake to trick Eve into eating the forbidden fruit.
    • In Mathew 10:16 Jesus advises his followers to "be wise as serpents and innocent as doves."

I'd like to add an example to The Fundamentalist:

  • On RuPaul's Drag Race, many of the older queens on the show (including RuPaul himself) come from the "old school" where drag strictly meant long hair, breast/hip padding, high heels, and having zero facial or body hair. In those days, any queen who didn't follow those guidelines would be seen as unprofessional. But by the 2010's, an increasing number of younger queens have been choosing not to follow every "rule" by the letter. This could be as simple as not wearing padding, or as drastic as sporting a full beard to produce a "bearded lady" look. In earlier seasons, queens would be harshly judged if their drag wasn't acceptably feminine, but when Season 6 contestant Milk Queen controversially wore a (fake) beard on the runway and later impersonated male-RuPaul when the theme was Ru-inspired looks, Ru gradually began opening his mind to changes in drag culture and became more accepting of androgyny on the show. But among the contestants, clashes between the conventional and unconventional are a frequent conflict.

Can the Characters.Resident Evil Chris Redfield potholes be removed on MagnificentBastard.Video Games M To Z and Monster.Resident Evil please? The page is being cut for no longer meeting the byte requirement for character specific pages.

Anime.MagicalStageFancyLala to Anime.FancyLala because that seems to be the right English name.

I put the Anime.FancyLala on the cutlist, since it's currently a redirect.

Please add these to Quotes.Complete Monster:

"There is nothing unique about the wanton violence of the Destroyer. All demons hunger for slaughter, and they all seek the end of all things. They all want to tear down the works of the gods and reduce all things to ruin. Where Yeenoghu differs, however, is in his ability to turn the business of killing into a breathtaking spectacle. With him, it is a form of art—if you can stomach the screams and noxious odors issuing from the dead. Yeenoghu is special because he embodies killing. He has few ambitions beyond the visceral thrill of rending the soft flesh of his enemies and drinking deep the hot blood from their bodies. He craves nothing more than the utter defeat of all those who stand against him and is relentless in his pursuit of feeding the emptiness of his existence with the frantic screams of those he slays. Butchery is the provender of Yeenoghu, and his single-minded pursuit of annihilation makes him a dangerous force in the infinite layers of the Abyss."''

"To this end, he goads his mortal servants into performing appalling acts of evil in his name throughout the lands. He admonishes his servants to show no mercy in their perpetual war—they must kill all creatures they encounter and take prisoners when the beings can serve as useful thralls. In the centuries after the war with the gods, the Ruler of Ruin has amassed his armies. His people in the natural world feed his layer with a steady supply of slaves and victims, and his altars run red with the blood of fresh sacrifices."

Actually, if Chris Redfield is being removed, let's do this:

  • Resident Evil 7: Biohazard: Lucas Baker was known as the "Bad Seed" of the Baker family. A brilliant, yet malicious, inventor who once trapped a childhood bully to starve to death in the attic, Lucas liberated himself from Eveline's control but found he enjoyed his new powers and ability to "cut loose"—regularly capturing others and putting them in his deadly traps to test them out, Lucas also makes sure it's impossible to escape the traps so even if one solves them, they'll still die painfully. When Chris Redfield goes in, in the Not a Hero DLC, Lucas captures three of his soldiers and has Chris experience their deaths before trying to kill Chris as well. A complete destructive hedonist with no regard for anyone, even his own family, Lucas is a unique glimpse at a twisted, inventive Serial Killer in the world of Resident Evil.
