This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here
.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

Per TRS, It Is Pronounced "Tro-PAY" has been renamed to Pretentious Pronunciation, so the discussion page might need to be moved. (Unlike the previous two posts I made, I'm not completely sure because the namespace wasn't changed, and the page itself was was moved by a mod.)
Edit: Also, I edited my post about Administrivia.Keep Real Life Examples while the requests were being processed. Someone in the cleanup thread said that the crowner text isn't hard-coded and is copied and pasted manually (I mistakenly assumed it was hard-coded because it turns out that blank crowners are created ahead of time), so it looks like Sandbox.Keep Real Life Examples can be cut (presumably after the history is moved).

A couple things that need fixing:
- On HarsherInHindsight.Real Life, the following entry should have "DDR" spelled out & clarified, as not everyone (including This Troper) knows what that is:
—-- There's a now-memetic video of a large man dancing like a lunatic while playing DDR, only to fall off once he gets down, funny at first, but he was asked about the video and it turns out the fall made his ankle break clean in half.
—-I also caught the following examples with weblinks that need either corrected or removed; the links in question weren't archived by the Wayback Machine. I've put the dead-linked text in double-parentheses. —-
- A New Hampshire Christian teenage girl was forced to repent in front of her church for sexual misconduct leading to pregnancy. ((She had been raped by a deacon of that church)). The pastor allegedly had even told her that "she was lucky not to have been born during Old Testament times when she would have been stoned to death".
- Scientology's introduction film ends with "If you leave this room after seeing this film and walk out and never mention Scientology again, you are perfectly free to do so. It would be stupid. But you can do it. You can also dive off a bridge or blow your brains out. That is your choice." Would jumping out of a building and ((blowing someone else's brains out)) (three times!) suffice? On a lighter note, the film's host has ((since quit the church and wants his money back.))
